@srotten If you are just playing FX3 you do not need Pinup Player…B2s…any Visual Pinball (VP9, VPX)…or Future Pinball for that matter. FX3 has the ability to display a backglass image and move the DMD around to a second or third display in cabinet mode. There are a ton of tutorials and articles on how to do this. Just Google “FX3 cabinet mode”. You have to contact FX3 for a code to turn on cabinet mode. They will want an image of your cab setup.
Did you look at the Arcade1Up pinball machines? They have three prebuild FX3 machines. I don’t know much about them but I saw some demo’s on YouTube. The backglass is static and the machines have a limited amount of tables. I don’t know if either is upgradable. They do have some of the elements you are looking for.

Looks good! Pinball any way you can! I built something similar to this a couple of years ago. I still have it but use my larger cab for play now. I’ve been using Windows 10 for over 2 years with virtual pinball. I don’t have any issues. Coming from the IT sector…Windows 7 is fine just as long as it stays off of the internet.

March 28, 2021 at 11:15 pm in reply to: Stuck on fixing settings (backglass, UltraDMD, and playfield sizes) for a single #231693I agree 1000% with Badazzwi. FSS is the best way to play single screen VPX. Years ago…before all of the FSS tables started popping up…I tried to fake this and was successful. FSS makes this easy. The only issue is not all VPX tables are setup for FSS yet. I believe all of the popular ones are done.
@badazzwi – Thanks! I forgot about that. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
@armyaviation – Thanks Tom….I went that route first. On Pinside…no owners.
It is on seven wish list’s including my own.

Sorry but I watched 15 seconds of that video and had to turn it off. I hate Gilbert Gottfried and this guy attempting a poor interpretation really got on my nerves.

Hello and welcome!
I suggest going to YouTube and searching for “terryred software essentials”. Watch all the video’s. They will teach you pretty much everything you need to know.

March 28, 2021 at 8:06 pm in reply to: Stuck on fixing settings (backglass, UltraDMD, and playfield sizes) for a single #231671Just to clarify…you want the playfield in full screen with DMD and backglass all on a single screen. Is this correct? I believe this is covered in one of TerryRed’s Youtube video’s. I suggest starting there. Just go to YouTube and search “terryred software essentials”.
I use PinballY as the frontend on my cabinet. I know this can be done on a single screen using PinballY.

Hi Randr,
I got a mobile notification and was asked to let you know. My device is an Android device. FYI…the app is working great. Very responsive.
Also…thank you for everything! If there is anything I can help you with…let me know.
Thanks,
Jim

I did not find a wheel…here is a quick one I made. I cut this from a flyer I found online. Vectorized it and cleaned it up a little bit in gimp.
Enjoy!

March 19, 2021 at 12:25 am in reply to: Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle (Spooky Pinball 2017)b2s #230048@roccodimarco – I agree. I checked out the Alice Cooper table. Needless to say….I deleted it and it never made it to my cab. I didn’t bother checking any of the others.

March 19, 2021 at 12:13 am in reply to: Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle (Spooky Pinball 2017)b2s #230046@armyaviation – Ling Woo is the name at the top of the page. I don’t know him from any boards. I originally stumbled across this on YouTube. That led me to VPForums and to this website. The scripts on the tables don’t provide much more info.
I saw the demo of the Alice Cooper table on YouTube a long time ago. When Wildman posted the B2S I remembered the YouTube video and followed the breadcrumbs.

March 18, 2021 at 9:10 pm in reply to: Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle (Spooky Pinball 2017)b2s #230035Awesome! Thanks! There is a WiP table out there. I downloaded it from here: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/EsXhvyiHXryA/
I hope it is OK to post the link.
You have to add in the B2S call outs in the script for the B2S to work.

What I use
I use a software called Cloudberry backup on all my personal computers including my vpin. I have this scheduled to perform incremental backups daily to a local NAS and to the cloud using AWS S3. From there I can perform file level recovery or full bare bones restore. Cloudberry backup is free but somewhat restricted. The pro license is $50/usd. This is a one time cost not a subscription. You do not have to use cloud storage. It can be used with a NAS or portable USB HD or a secondary drive on the PC. The software works with all the cloud storage vendors.
Testing and/or validation
The SSD on my vpin died within one-month of purchase. It was a defective unit (Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB). My backup restored to the original hardware and new drive (same model Samsung) without issue. I was back up and playing in less than 30 minutes. I haven’t tried a restore to different hardware but I have done many file level recoveries on other PC’s using this software.

@karlor – I’ll work on separating them in the next update (should be out in a couple weeks….depends on how busy I get with work). I’ve done quite a few improvements to the table including a completely new playfield. I am not satisfied with the plastics…so I am planning working on them all.
@joey2001 – I don’t have VR so I can’t test the table there. I can say that the out lane plastic guide in the image has been removed from the playfield and is now a primitive. I also am removing all of the “fake” screws and replacing them with primitives. Thanks!
