i see, yea i have my music / sub amp set very close to that way for the 2.1’s but i was thinking more of the 2.0 amps that run the exciters, or are you saying your running 3, 2.1’s with those settings ? if so, thats good.
finding some working settings for my ssf is tough, so far my exciters arent really that loud and i dont believe all the right sounds are going to their designated speaker,
for example out of the back glass speakers , i can still hear sound effects like flippers and bumpers in vpx and no sounds at all in fx3 but i think i figured some thing else to try to get them right in fx3.

Update, so far i now have sound coming out of all 7 speakers, apparently in side sound blasters control panel, i had to manually reset it to 7.1, even though i set it to 7.1 upon installation. now at this point, its all about the adjustments i hope
question. for the amps, what settings do most people use for the exciters, meaning what level, on bass and treble knobs do most people set it at, i figure bass on full ? and treble 1/4 of the way ? i bet i’m wrong on that

Ok i’ve finally got my new amp and now i have a strange problem and im not really sure what to do, my sound card might be bad im not really sure
but heres the problem, all 3 amps are hooked up to my sound blaster audigy 5 rx and in windows setting it up to 7.1 when i do a sound test
i hear sound from my 2 back glass speakers and the sub box, then when it gets to the 4 exciters, the rears make sound but the exciters hooked to side port of th sound card, make no sound at all, but during the sound test when its testing the other 2 exciters that are hooked up to the side port, the sound bar moves in indication that they are working but no sound.
now i know that new amp and those exciters work because i swapped the plugs of the rear and the side ports just to see if i could get sound and i can get sound from them that way.
its a very strange problem border line frustrating .
does any one have any ideals on what i can try, to fix this, i havnt found any individual sound level settings for the side port (possible i just havnt found them yet)
and by the way, i have uninstalled the sound blaster drivers and installed the latest versions through creatives web site.

update: bad news for me this project is now postponed for a little while, i was just testing my amps and one of my lepy 838 amps is bad, it wont power up no mater what i do, i even tried the power plugs off the other 2 amps just to rule out a bad plug but still no power
so now ill have to play the waiting game until my new one comes in the mail
ill keep you posted when it comes in to show my progress, this sucks

I’m going to give that a shot, unfortunately right now I’m stuck at work, this is a mystery to me but your right, i can do some adjustments with the plugins of peace and equalizer apo, as of right now. thought i can set it to 7.1 in the speaker settings and try to adjust from there, its just strange on that enhancement tab not being there,
there is a setting thats checked for allowing enhancements, in speaker settings for the sound blaster, but thats all it shows

update, still no enhancement tab for the sound blaster speaker setting
I’ve uninstalled all audio drivers through device manager , then restarted the pc and reinstalled the sound blaster drivers
still no luck,
is there any work a rounds to a problem like this ?
how important is the enhancement tab to get ssf to work ?
is there another way i could get ssf to work with out the enhancement tab ?

@Thalamus its interesting how you mentioned that, because for weeks now ive been typing that i had 32bit in the forum every time i asked for some help. i just assumed i installed 32bit since all my other computers were set that way
but i double checked that after you mentioned it to me,, and its actually 64bit, for a second there i was about to start over and reset like you suggested in hopes that, that was going to fix this issue
im actually glad that i dont need to go that route
thank you for having me check that, for now on ill say 64bit os

OK i think i got what you mean, i believe in my situation I’m going to be forced to build an enclosure
my cab is a bit unorthodox, i built it from scratch and its an upright vertical machine and right now the whole back of my cab is open i haven’t built a door for it yet, still lots to do

no the speaker dosnt really state size enclosures
but i am interested in this flipper fidelity set up that you speak of.
when you say just mount it to the bottom of the cab floor.
do you mean face flush with the floor ? or do you mean cut a hole for the speaker through the bottom of the cab and mount it that way?
any chance that you can show me a picture to show me more clearly on this
thanks
