When the new VP software comes out I wonder if it’s gonna work with win7 or a win10 setup that isn’t updated.

Look for terryred’s install videos either on the doflinx support page or his YouTube channel

This is good stuff guys.  I was under the assumption that exciters alone give you the solenoid thumps feel.  I did have a 6 inch sub on the front amp and I think I will put it back.  I wouldn’t mind not feeling anything as long as the sound is good.
I was looking at that Daytona audio page and was looking at those mini exciters. Â Wonder what it would feel like if you mounted 2 on the underside of the lockdown bar. Â I have room on mine

That was my question, I thought exciter put out tactile, not the bass shaker?. Most setups I see don’t say to put a bass shaker on each pf  amps

Hmm, that sucks.  When I built cue there were 2 known in existence and no manual made so it’s possible.

That’s a good idea.  What about polarity of the exciters, would reversing the + and – have any effect or is it irrelevant

Your best bet is to look on pinside for someone that owns the table and send them a message

In windows sound, do you have full range speakers checked or unchecked. Â Mine was checked

Maybe there is confusion, the pf exciter sounds are fine. Â The have the correct sounds coming out of each exciter. Â They sound like a great stereo system with absolutely NO bass at all. No bass means no tactile feedback

The only thing I haven’t tried was suggested by @mlager8 I am using the red/white composite to a headphone jack cable for the audio to amp from computer.  Would it matter using a 3.5 mm on both ends and plugging into the headphone jack/mp3 on the amp

I don’t have 10.7 and all speakers are putting out the correct sounds.  It was only a couple tables that I noticed with the pf amps turned off I could hear a faint sound of the flippers.  Whit amps on I can hear all sounds including ball on the correct side of the table .
where is 10.6.2. In the 10.6 standalone?

I am not totally following what you are saying @thalamus but I am not lost either. Â I will take another look at my setup and maybe post pics. Â I did notice the other day ver faint flippers on my backglass channels when I was testing but I have never installed 10.7

Appreciate it!
as for pinvol, I do not use it.  I already thought it was just to equalize the different sounds on each table and I never had that much of an issue.  If it adds bass to the exciters I will definitely try it.  I did install thump and i didn’t like the way it made it sound.
I will check out the new 10.6You need to login in order to like this post: click here
Update to 10.6 and the support threads should have link to all the updated items, or delete everything and use the baller installer.

@phenom make sure you are updating the change log tab so we know why we should download the newest version. Â Sometimes people update desktop items and there is no need for cab users to change versions, just an example but it should be done, thanks for the table

What rant about San Francisco? Â No I am not flying, I am working for First Amy in Rock Island in a 3 star command, flying a desk!!!
we would like to get back to Destin Fl eventually I think but Allegiant also had a base in Pittsburg and that’s home too along with Youngstown, the greatest place in the freakin world.
I really wanted the trilogy but Comet for me was a little strange.  I am kinda in love with Williams table, my stellar wars was awesome, but the inserts were cupped and someone gave me good money for mine.  When I got comet and started playing it, the sounds were kinda disappointing.  Plus that middle ramp is so fragile along with the back corkscrew.  I did reinforce that one with epoxy which worked GREAT but the middle was an issue and they were hard to find.  It was kinda like what @ronr told me about Escape from the lost world, he hated to play it because every hard shot he was waiting to break a ramp and the value goes down, down , down.  My Simpsons data East and hardbody kinda the same way.  hardbody hit that first back of targets on the lower left so hard that it breaks plastics and the ball flies up and smacks the glass, makes you cringe….hoping I don’t break any plastics on the Simpsons but I heard the left one is very susceptible
