Thanks for the bug reports guys. I’ll do an update in the near future, I’ll check with the guys if I can use their new version of the table that came out in the minimal room and if so I’ll replace what we have with that.

I’ll try this out tonight in the VR room… I *think* I made the movie screen the PUP capture texture so it might just work with no mods :)

And thanks for your wheels @joey2001! Nobody’s a real VP author until you’ve done wheels for their tables :)

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
Looks awesome JR :) Note there’s a BV B2S in the zip file!
Thanks Bord, I did adjust them to some extent but I don’t have your eye I guess :D
Appreciate the kind words. I put a LOT of time into this, redrawing a ton of stuff in PS and some Blender modeling. I took this table on as I knew it didn’t already have a VPX version, and I’d read about the interesting backglass (http://www.xsvtoys.net/bon_voyage_pinball_extras.htm) and it just piqued my interest.
After implementing everything though, my own opinion on the table is that it’s very simplistic and quite easy to achieve the main objective. Still happy to have put it out there!
The next table I’m interested in building is Mars Trek… but there are VERY limited assets available for that. On the other hand, the gameplay seems fantastic so I’m really keen to do it. We’ll see what happens!

New version v1.2 uploaded:
– Fixed target and saucer scoring
– Fixed B2S scoring for player 4
– Fixed ‘Ball In Play’ and ‘Player #’ displays for desktop
– Fixed apron credit lamp
– Gate can now be shatzed open (shoot the ball up the inlane) – a real-life technique as seen in this video:

how do i run this table on desktop with out using b2s server i have only one screen thanks ken
Hey Ken… I actually put some time into setting up the desktop widgets but right now the table does depend on the B2S server yeah, I didn’t think of that. I’ll need to take some time to wrap the code for desktop mode (unless anyone has a quicker workaround), sorry about that. Stay tuned for v1.1 in a few days!
Thanks for the kind words guys!

Thanks @Thalamus and no problem :)
This is my first table, after releasing a few VR rooms. If anyone has any suggestions or comments to improve the table, please let me know!

Oh one other idea – do you have your max texture size set in the video options, down near the bottom-right? Make sure it’s set to “unlimited”.

When i play this in vr the table and backglass are in really low resolution.Any idea how to fix this, thanks.
Hmm that’s a new one on me! Is it only this table? Do you have a screenshot maybe?

Great job on the visuals. Unfortunately, I am seeing a large black square in the distance that follows my HMD around. When I look out into the “deep blue” I actually see black with the fish swimming in front of it. If I move my head, I can see that a large black square follows my vision but I can see in my periphery that there is indeed deep blue out there.
I’m on a Vive Pro. Anyone else encounter this?
I’d try to show a screen shot but my VR Preview window only ever shows black (on all tables) so I disable it.
Ah, think you might have to push out your far clip distance Bazza. Open up VR Settings from the Preferences menu, then you should see “VR near plane” and “VR far plane” halfway down. Mine are at 5 and 20000. Let me know if that fixes it!
Sorry, forgot to mention it in the readme/install section… if this fixes it for you I’ll add it!

Thanks for the kind words Ron! Very much appreciated.
For cabinets, I’ve been using one of the templates that people have shared – Rawd has an excellent one in the VR room section, and there are more that have only been shared on the Facebook VR pinball group if you’re looking for a specific cabinet type.
You just take the cabinet model from the template and paste it into your table file. With a bit of luck everything lines up, and you can just replace some textures to get the right cabinet art. You might have to move some things around in the editor to get everything looking perfect. Creature was easy, it all fit apart from one texture map which I had to resize.
For the DMD you might have to delete the existing one and add a new flasher that you check the “use system DMD” option (or whatever it’s called, something like that). Moving it to the right place is just trial and error, and is kind of confusing… VP is really just a 2D editor view but does have the third dimension built into the primitives. There’s some good tutorials over on VPForums VR section for that. Older machines with alphanumeric displays are even worse (like, much worse, haha). Might be easiest just using the b2s capture option for those tables.
It’s a learning curve to build a VR room, for sure! I’d recommend going through VPForums, joining the facebook group “VR Pinball – Virtual Reality Pinball Group”, reading a lot, and doing some experimentation. VP wasn’t ever really built with VR rooms in mind, so it’s kind of amazing we can get away with what we’re doing :)

Thanks guys :)
Ben, I’m gonna print your post out and put it on my fridge :D
There’ll be a v1.1 coming soon, with some nicer cabinet legs from Rawd to avoid clipping into the truck bed, and maybe a couple other things.
