Roth’s wife is a beautiful women I can tell you this first hand. She is also a tough cookie and what she says goes
I should watch my comments, Roth is one of the two people that kinda like me around here. I see that Pinball Arcade lost the license to most of their tables (probably old news), sounds like something Stern would do, but Stern went the other way in the long run.
I’ve just joined a pinball league (they’ve been asking me for years and I finally caved), the place has Iron Maiden plus twenty some of the newest and many popular old machines. Get a beer, play some pinball, all is good.

Man, I wish my wife would let me drink!
Your wife let’s me drink, LOL.
Two things I want to do in life/death, get this tattooed on my ass and the other is to be buried in a pinball cabinet, but I’m not sure what cab I would choose, LMAO.
Have a good 4th people, be safe.

I don’t know, do you have an i7 with an SSD?. Have you tried 1280 x 720 resolution or something like that?, could help.

In VP, Preferences->Video Options.

You sure you have FPS Limiter/Vsync set to 1 and maximum pre-rendered frames set to 1?
Chit, missed that, will try, THANKS!

Thanks, I disabled B2S along time ago, during setup. I must have forgot. Still get lag though, any other solutions?

If you are a desktop single monitor user, go to Preferences->Video and disable B2S
Sorry for not being more specific. This is a full cabinet setup.
I don’t know how they get around the lag, I’ve been trying years to fix the issue. I have a Dell Studio XPS 435t/9000 with a Radeon RX470 4GB. I’m thinking that an SSD might fix some of the problem. It happens on some of the tables. I play Metallica all of the time and it happens a few seconds into multiball, every game. If I ever figure it out, I’ll let you know.
LOL, where is disable B2S in VPX10. Oh, Joe, I fixed The Walking Dead post on you’re PM5. I changed X to 669, hit threshold, elasticity to 0Â and made the post collidable. You had the post set as a toy.

New to this forum and new to virtual pinball.
I never thought I’d be attracted to these machines over the real ones but they have come a long way so I have decided to take the plunge.
I don’t own a VP machine yet but I know I want it to be able to run VPX. Any special requirements for this?
Thank you and I look forward to this forum!
Mark
I use an old Dell Studio XPS 435t/9000 ($200.00 on Ebay) with a Radeon RX460 4GB video card ($120.00). The most important part is an i7 or better, 4 cores, running 8 threads or more processor, video card, then everything else. I should buy an SSD because they help a lot when running VP and many other programs, maybe soon. I have all new stuff but here are some of my old pics. One day I will build a cab, LOL, humm. I’m so cheap and lazy, hahaha.

Good eye… Yep it sure it. It was the perfect solution!
Can you please post pics of your setup?
Now I use a 47″ tv, have the Metallica color dmd and the new Metallica Box set controller. Oh and a different PC, RX460 4GB video card and new speakers with a sub, that was a very old pic of my setup. LOL, I just noticed, that’s the old Metallica table, the new one is the Premium.
My next controller is going to be one of those old 50cal ammo boxes that you get at the army surplus store. I love making controllers out of everything I can find!

LOL, seriously I hope this helps. (I have a tape measure, mine is 6″ also, LMAO)
I will search. I found some measurements, but the only thing it says is to be careful when you drill the bolt holes because you can split the cabinet. Real numbers are hard to find (you’re right), just a lot of people guessing in forums. Well, except for Randr because he has one of everything.

Good luck with your rig and welcome. I play poor man’s pinball. A plastic portable table, 2 2×4 pieces of wood, a 47″ tv on it’s back with the 2×4 piece tilt and one 2×4 piece so the tv doesn’t slide off of the table, an old 21″ monitor for the dmd/backglass and my Metallica box set pinball controller. Small and portable is a good thought for a mini cab. LOL, I just play Metallica over and over and over, then a guns n roses, then start over again, LMAO. I will build a cab someday, when I’m rich like Randr.
Is that controller some old roof gutter?

There is already a complete one made in Texas. It’s half real pinball and half mame! BTW, the new Iron Maiden table is kinda cool.
Fren, difficult is just a word, LOL.

Graphics need work, physics need work and the right scoop/hole just launches the ball in all sorts of directions, deleted for now.
well the ball coming from a real scoop doesn’t always come out the same, so to me that more realistic… and just wondering what graphics aren’t up to par??
Maybe because it’s on my desktop and not at 1080, not sure, I haven’t seen yours and hopefully never will, LOL. To the other people, having your say and own opinion is good, even if I don’t like the reply, it’s what makes the world go round. Plus, I told nFozzy it’s great to have people like hime and the rest of the community around or I would never get to play these amazing tables (sometimes naked, hahahaha) in the privacy of my own home. I’m sorry if the words don’t come out right here and there, no harm intended. Even TerryRed got over some of my POS comments, I think, LMAO.
