Absolutely fantastic table. The sounds, visuals and gameplay are all awesome.
I checked the notes and the script, but have not been able to turn off AI. Ideally, I would like to leave AI off and then turn it back on occasion when I want to get my butt whooped for a game or two.
I changed the lines in the script so all players should be human, but players 2-4 are always the AI. What else can I do to turn off AI for all players?
Thanks brother it was a labor of love.
If you want to turn off the AI completely you can do it in-game by simply hitting the right flipper and changing the player status lights to all green.
If you do go into the script to over-ride this it should look like this…
Change_PlayerSetup = 1 ‘0=Off 1=On (This will override and lockout the option to change in-Game)
myPrefs_Player1Setup = 0 ‘0=Human 1=Computer
myPrefs_Player2Setup = 0 ‘0=Human 1=Computer
myPrefs_Player3Setup = 0 ‘0=Human 1=Computer
myPrefs_Player4Setup = 0 ‘0=Human 1=ComputerThis will change all the players to human and lock out the ability to change it in-game.

Great table, I’ve upgraded to this version and I noticed I have no ball rolling sound, so I put the older version back on and noticed no ball sound on that one either. I can’t figure out how to make ball rolling sound. Please help.
Never put the sound in because you can’t hear it on the real table either. Even with the glass off it was just barely audible. Maybe I’ll put one in with an option to turn it on in the next version for the hell of it
.

Hey brother, not sure if I’m the first to stumble on this but it looks like you’re getting an error during the 3-ball multiball. I was able to replicate it several times. Great job on the table btw, this game is fun as hell.

Beautiful 3D render of full cabinet. Hope I can afford a VR rig someday.
It’s incredible. If I could I would send you one.

What a fantastic table! The only thing that I’ve seen like it is the Phantom Flip in MB which always amazes me so this is like that on steroids.
One suggestion is that not everyone uses the standard VP key assignments and I see you put in a key recognition line in the code so you were probably preparing for this. Another way to handle this would be to assign the keys in the script by key name rather than KeyCode number. This would require changing the key codes as follows:
54 -> RightFlipperKey
42 -> LeftFlipperKey
29 -> LeftMagnaSave
157 -> RightMagnaSave
This would make the table work for the player regardless of their key assignments.
Good idea. That would really round out the script nicely. I’ll definitely make a note of this. Thanks. Have you tried changing the language at the start with the “L” key yet? lol. Too fun.

Great updates! I love the ability to select difficulty and computer/human with the flippers. And the little LED’s on the left to tell what difficulty level and player/computer for each player!
One note, I used to be able to get both lights for FIRE and POWER to light up by enabling playfield reflections. That doesn’t seem to work with this version, I’m only getting the inside light on each. Was there another trick to get those to work?
Current Project: Perpetual updates of VPX physics.
Thanks man, and thank you again for all the help on this.
Yea as far as the playfield issue i’m not sure. Was never able to recreate the condition here. Maybe try turning off Brute Force 4X SSAA.

I’m sure he is still selling his cab’s with VP games and rom’s installed and there’s not much too do about that.

March 17, 2019 at 5:44 pm in reply to: The Addams Family (Bally 1992) V2 – G5K, Sliderpoint, 3rdAxis #118312Thanks for the whirlwind of support guys, I posted before clocking off for the night. At the very least anyone doing some google due diligence on David Gillmore and http://retro-play.com.au and https://www.dave-techguy.com will get to read some of this and his shady business ethics. I had been working toward an idea for tying a download to a machine ID to help prevent this sort of activity of writing out image files to bulk builds but now the save as protected is no longer a part of the VPX export options makes it a bit difficult.
I’ll have to look into this too. Pain in the ass.
