You should check out the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda, CA if you get the chance. They have 90 playable machines and many more, mostly wood rail machines on display. I used to go there whenever I could when I lived in the bay area. Great place to spend all day alone, with friends, or with the whole family. =)

I just watched it again on blu-ray. I just realized for the first time that Wil Wheaton played the younger brother’s friend…

OK, I finally broke down and decided I have to do it… I’m starting a build on my Starfighter cabinet for the game I linked before and for running MAME etc. using BigBox. =P
I just finished making a custom T-handle joystick for the right stick and I’m working on setting up my games while I wait for the rest of the hardware I ordered. I’m using my Surface Pro 3 tablet PC (connected to a 28″ external monitor) to run the Starfighter box. It has a core I5 and is plenty powerful for what it needs. Plus I can just pull it out of the cab any time I want to.

I just finished getting my butt kicked in a free download version of the complete Starfighter game exactly as it appears in the movie. Too cool =)
I may just have to build a cabinet for that one =)

Glad to be of help =) I’m actually still working on the DMD animation frames since there are a lot more than I realized that need fixing for my dmd. I also decided to modify it for full color so I’m colorizing djchiccomix’s original frames as well as making the dark areas all true black.

I assume that it means “it will follow” as in “it’s on the way later”.

I moved the line at the top of the StartGame sub that says ‘DMDDisplayScene “Main”,True, backgrnd, Text1, 8,14,Text2, 5,15, 14, 10000000, 14’ up to the The_Web sub after the LoadUltraDMD line and now titles and high scores properly display on table initialization. =)
Also for those of us using real DMD’s those starfield and other animations are problematic since the “black” space isn’t true black and it shows up as grey and looks pretty awful. I went through the dmd animation frames and edited them to fix the problem. I can provide them if you like.
Otherwise – looking pretty cool so far =) I’m looking forward to trying the pup-pack.

I don’t know that I’m an expert but I do have a fair bit of experience with photoshop and adobe illustrator. I would be happy to do what I can to assist.

Yeah Blade Runner was really the last of the classically made (all models and in-camera special effects) Science Fiction films to be made. And Ridley inadvertantly created the whole Cyberpunk genre.

Yeah it’s in a “Voight Kampf” briefcase. Pretty nifty set.
I started building the White Dragon noodle bar for the diorama today.

My favorite version is the final cut honestly. I don’t have a big problem with the theatrical voice-over (though it wasn’t really necessary) but I don’t much like the happy ending, and the unicorn scene is important because it speaks to who and what Deckard really is. Also they did a great job of fixing the awful stunt-double for Zhora, as well as synching Deckard with his voice in the scene in Hassan’s shop on animoid row, in the final cut. I can watch any version anytime I like though since I have a 5 disc set on blu-ray with the theatrical cut, director’s cut, final cut, the original work print, the “Dangerous Days” making-of , and an additional archive of interviews with tons of people involved.
I will never forget watching the theatrical version in the base theater at Wright Patterson AFB during the first theatrical run back in 1982 though. =)
