Is it to make tables look and play more like their physical counterparts?
This. :)

Bigus version looks better, it’ s the yellow sunset version
By all means go play that version then. Thanks for the info though.

Yeah, that batman toy sucks all around. I deleted him on my personal copy.
Yeah, me too. :)

I need to make a new download for this as the download was from Vpinball and per original authors’ wish, it’s now a URL download from another site. Sorry for the inconvenience.
New support topic is here: https://vpinball.com/forums/topic/batman-dark-knight-skitso-mod-2/

No, you must have changed your POV. It’ll break certain lighting effects.

How did you lighten the playfield? My wife is having the same issue.
Thanks!
Easiest method is to move day/night slider few notches to the right

So, is your table more realistic than the others ?
A lot. Gameplay is really close to a real thing here, thanks to rothbauerw’s best physics yet.

Thank you, the table is playing really well. I also like the warm lighting effects. Is there any way to remove the rectangular dark areas on the monsters’ heads?
You need to enable playfield reflections to get the inserts to work as intended.

Yeah, things are happening behind the scenes. I’ll let people know when there’s something to show. :)

Both projects are on hold until @rothbauerw returns from his well earned hiatus. I’m not willing to release them as a “visual only” mod, so we’ll just need to be patient.

Unfortunately I haven’t had any word from roth regarding the timing of his return. :/

Hello Skitso!
Today i played Fish Tales in a open place at daylight. So with my Girlfriend’s phone i tried to shoot some good photo about plastics.
Tried to hide the reflections under glass some times it succeed sometimes not.
Maybe you will find some plastic picture you can use(or some textures).
Here is it:

If you have better scans ignore my message.

Thanks for the effort. Eventhough these can’t be used as is, they are a valuable reference material to the plastics redraws I’m making.

Don’t suppose MB is looking like this too?
It sure is. Unfortunately rothbauerw is taking a break from VPX stuff (can’t blame him, he has done A LOT lately) and is out of the business indefinitely, so releasing it will have a delay.

I don’t see a problem with turning of defender while playing ?? Are you browsing on the machine while playing ? How are you expecting to get affected while playing is my question.
Yeah, as I wrote in the earlier post: “always going into the settings and disabling it when I want to kick some pinball doesn’t sound too inviting either”.
So it’s more of an inconvenience thing, I suppose…

Yeah, that did the trick! Thanks Thal. :)
Hmmm… As I don’t have a separate cabinet to play VPX, I need to have this computer connected to the net. So I really can’t disable windows defender completely, but always going into the settings and disabling it when I want to kick some pinball doesn’t sound too inviting either. Any suggestions?

After finishing the playfield redraw, I’ve been messing around with GI, insert lights, flashers, LUT and random small details. Here’s how the table looks now:

I still need to touch up few low resolution plastics before I have an internal version 1.0. After that, I will go through the table with a seriously tight comb and fix all the little visual annoyances I find.

Great stuff! But i always have the problem that you can see the insert image through the PF when IL’s are off. I couldn’t get this to work properly so i decided to put a bezel over the non lit part. Pass Through didn’t hide the insert image. If i do the same as you the darkened parts would be visible inside the light shape. It’s not much but looks like it’s 80% PF image and 20% insert image. Does this not happen on your table? Just curious! Maybe i am doing something wrong!
I tend to make my tables quite dark and moody so at least I haven’t noticed that issue… doesn’t mean it’s not there, mind you.
