Really well done VR implementation. This is a machine that I wasn’t crazy about when running in normal VPX but it really is a different experience in VR. Great job.

b4sti,
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all of your efforts on making this VR menu system. I now have over 140 VR specific machines accessible thru your menu and it all works incredibly seamlessly from my pincab. For me, I set myself up so that I can just hit a couple of “magnasave” buttons to switch from PinballX mode to VP VR Launcher mode. Once in VR Launcher mode, I can use all of my flipper buttons, and other buttons while navigating your VR Launcher menu.
Incredibly easy to set up, very intuitive, filtering works perfectly, and you continue to add tweaks and fixes as needed.
THANK YOU
DQ

Great update and the method to create filters is very nice. Now I have my “Top 20” machines as one of my categories.
I am having a problem exiting from my launched tables and hope I’m just missing a configuration step. I use the “q” key to exit from the player but for some reason that is not being passed thru when the launcher app is running. So, I can’t return to the menu or exit from the game. If I close the launcher the q key gets passed thru to the player and it closes.
Any ideas?

One of my favorite tables and I was lucky enough to get to work on a directb2s backglass for it a number of years ago. Have always liked it since then. Very nice VR implementation.  I do have one issue that I’m hoping you know the answer to… The table always sits higher in the VR Room than my other tables. I end up bumping the table down with the “Table Down” button but that then saves the value globally which then means I have to bump it back up again when I play one of my other tables. Do you have this same experience and do you know a way around it? My guess is that it is affected by the lower playfield? Or the fact that is has a lower, normal, and upper playfield.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Again, GREAT JOB!

Great table.  I don’t see the vari-target on the left scoring points.  Is this missing a switch?  Thanks!

I Just tried out this updated version and my issues from February 21st are gone! Thank you. Table is beautiful and plays great too.

Just tried out Seawitch and it is beautiful and plays great. I do have one issue that hopefully is an easy one. When I first start up the table scoring lights on the playfield are not accurate. As I play a game, various lights will be lit incorrectly. If I press F3 to reset the Rom the lights will be accurate for the rest of the game play. Once I exit and come back in, the issue comes back. I’ve tried deleting the nvram file and that did not make a difference. Any ideas? Attached is a screen shot of an example…

I started using Fren’s FS settings from his Jan 11 2016 post and they are excellent for not only TAF but for any modern table that has lots of elevation in the rear of the cabinet. His settings allow the back wall to be very vertical while keeping the rest of the playfield at a manageable angle to seem realistic.
I’ve now updated over 30 tables using his settings and all of them are visually superior using his settings as the starting point. I have found that I can keep the Inclination (13), Field of View (35), and Layback (60) as he provided and I only have to slightly tweak the Z Offset, X Scale, and Y Scale. And then adjust the final location with the X Offset and Y Offset. It takes me less than 5 minutes to tweak a table to look consistent with the other tables of the same generation.
Great job!

Wow.. I literally put this on my wish list for VPX this week! (http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=33603&page=24#entry395666)
Now I downloaded, played, and got my butt kicked. Exactly as it should be.Â
Thank you!!! Now back to having fun.

I finally had time / courage to try the new PUP add-on for VP. Your TRON table + PUP integration is incredible. This is a perfect table to show off the capabilities and you’ve done an excellent job at making it appear seamless. For those who haven’t tried it yet, please do. If you have a cabinet with only 2 or 3 screens it is still very easy to take advantage of this. I’m running on a 3 screen system and I run the backglass videos across the entire backglass and then run the topper videos in the lower 20% of the screen. At times both videos are active but it still looks like it was meant to be.
Really great job!

My cabinet is built from an old Xenon cab… This latest table combined with the incredible backglass truly makes me feel like I’m playing the original game. Really incredible job! Thank you.Â
