Love the table thank you so much. The flippers are getting stuck in up mode when I launch a ball. Using VPX Ver 10.6.0 Rev 3541. Do I need to upgrade? Thanks!

Hey guys, there is a script mod that stops 2 players from auto joining when you hit the start button when playing UltraDMD tables. I used it on KISS and AMH but I do not remember the line I added to the script. Previous to this mod every time I hit start 2 players and its annoying. Anyone have it?

Great pin choice. I love mine. I have these mods on mine:

          1. Shaker
          2. Bird of Prey (has a light that flashes when you hit the spinner)
          3. In-lane and magnet protectors from cliffy
          4. Modified rom with StarTrek music

I think that’s. It’s a tough Pin to finish, but very fast to play a quick game.

Hey DJ, yes I have a mechanical plunger, and it appears to reset higher after the first use when I launch the table. When I pull it back, the saved ball will detect on the switch and launch! How do I calibrate the plunger? As I have never needed to adjust it before, can this be a setting in the script unique to this table since I don’t have this issue on any other VPX table?

Hey Pinbolt, don’t forget you also have to change the rom name in the table script for the name change to work properly -> “You also need to change the cGameName in the table script.” if you have done that, make sure you can open the rom in vpinmame by running “setup” and then “test”. Make sure you see the rom in the list and you should be able to test it.

There’s a setting in the VPinMame registry “at91jit” you can try setting to 0 for SAM tables that you’re having crash on startup issues with. JIT compiles SAM code to native x86 dynamically so it will run much faster than the old core. Toxie noted that this JIT compiler has a strange ‘crash once on startup’ issue for him. No one else has reported an issue so far, but it’s worth a try in your case. Setting at91jit = 0 makes the SAM rom use the old emulated code instead. Do let us know if that helps. You can find it in the regsistry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\Visual PinMame\(rom name)\at91jjit Also, I’m not sure if your special PM5 build has Large Address Mode turned on. If it’s not on, it will be much more RAM limited than VPX or official VP9.9 builds. It’s a compiler setting, but there are some tools you can find on google that can turn it on after the fact.

Hey thanks, that regedit fixed my 100% constant crash on Avengers with this new VPM build. Will test with other tables that are crashing with VP5 exe as well.

Hey guys, my balls are not auto-plunging on ball saves and multi-balls. I have tried adjusting 2 triggers in the shooter lane with no success. Which switch do I need to tweak and which way? Up or down? Thanks!

I think the PM5 version of Avengers is actually pretty good and plays well. I also noticed that xmen should be xmen_ to renamed to xmn_.

One thing I have noticed with this new VPM build that while VPX tables are stable, some of my older PM5 tables now when launching in PinballX will crash at launch. Avengers, Tron, Xmen etc will sometimes crash where on the previous smaller VPM build they were rock solid. I am using the accelerated plunger PM5 build.

Anyone else having similar issues with the older tables crashing since updating and what PM5.exe are you using if everything is rock solid on boot up?

FYI: the fix for my error was adding dmddevice.dll for pinDMDv2 in my vpinmame directory. This fixed the error with VPM 2.8!

Download vpinmame_sam_2.45.zip from here and unzip dmddevice.dll for pinDMDv2 into your vpinmame directory.

                        http://vpuniverse.com/forums/forums/topic/2728-sam-build-with-modular-dmd-drivers-for-pindmd123-and-pin2dmd/

That should fix this error. Good luck.

Hey Paulo, in post 44205 of this thread, DJRobX gives us some info about the crash, and there is some previous discussion. Related to VPM and memory (possibly) not to the table. I may call you about it. B-)

Hey DB, since Mustang LE is working fine with the latest VPM 2.8 installed I am guessing this is related to optimization of the table in VPX. I had a similar crash occurring with the TWD VPX Pro version untill the table was substantially reduced in size and optimized then I had no issues loading it. I have an i7 Core 16GB RAM and an Nvidia 980 card so it should be able to handle any table I throw it, hopefully!

Ah dang it. After successfully playing one game on the TWD LE. I was testing Mustang LE etc. It appears that TWD LE will not not load without crashing causing the shaker to lock, similar to what the pro version was doing until someone updated the file to reduce it in size?

What that fix on the pro was it fixed the crashing for me. Anyone else having a similar issue?

Hey guys, I have updated all the files and getting this VPINMAME error just as the table launches. “No DMD device driver found” So no DMD is launching. I have updated to VPM 2.8. When I revert back to the old VPM file 2.7 everything works fine with non LE tables! Any suggestions on what to try next?

Hey thanks for this awesome release. The table looks great in the cab!

I had to update UltraDMD to 1.4 to get it to go, not sure of my previous version. The new installer makes it painless.

                                            Grab 1.4 here -> https://ultradmd.wordpress.com/download/
