March 17, 2021 at 9:21 am in reply to: How to Add Shaker DOF Effect via Impactor to an SSF/Thump Setup #229647Ah! Yes, that is possible. In your cabinet.xml file, you’ll see something like “shaker impact” and a setting of 100. Try changing this to 200 or higher and use the DOF test table to see if you like it. I think I have mine set to 350 for the issues you cite.

I did try last night without any issues. Nothing super unique with my setup…

Mine runs smoothly, but I’ve since switched to VR-Launcher with wireless play. I’m surprised Popper would slow things down that much though. But you’re right that it’s the only variable involved other than running it directly. I’ll play around with it a bit and see what I can figure out.

Anyone else having issues with the table freezing right after choosing the mission? My PUP is showing correctly on the DMD and the table works great if I use UltraDMD, so it’s something to do with the PUP integration…
I assume it’s user error.

@DeathInc: I had the same issue. I ended up downloading the latest Pinup release at Nailbuster, grabbed the .exe, and popped it in my pinup folder. I wonder if it got stripped out somehow when I ran the installer last time…

Anyone have any luck with this? I grabbed the most recent VBS scripts I could find, but I’m still getting the left rail error.
Update: after I posted this, I tried just commenting out the entire left rail if clause and it works now (the whole captive ball if parameter). Not sure if it’ll screw something else up later on though.

August 28, 2020 at 10:40 am in reply to: DOFLinx: Effects! Now Available! Use DOF / MX Leds and PuP with ANY game! #198297Hey all
So, I’ve run into a small problem with DOFLinx, FX3, and Xpadder/x360ce (aka I’m doing something wrong)…
All the tables, backglasses, etc. work great. My flippers work (through Xpadder) and nudge/plunger work (through x360ce). I have DOF effects working for shaker, solenoids, beacon, etc.
Everything works…except my flippers. I have combo toys and have flippers and slingbacks connected. Slingbacks work, so I know it’s the right device code. I assume this has something to do with the flippers relationship to Xpadder/x360ce. I’ve tried the X1B approach for keys, as well as the J0101 approach. And A0 and A1 as well.
Ideas?

August 19, 2020 at 10:20 am in reply to: Highspeed PuP-Pack (To add flashing car lights action) – 3 Versions #196854Brainstorming here…
is there any way to somehow use DOF virtual port to send commands to a topper that has it coded in? So maybe something like the whirlwind topper for tables that have fan, or flashers for those tables? Essentially use a constant topper pup that would trigger based on dof commands.
and no, I’m not asking anyone to do the work. Just to think through feasibility. I’d be happy to give it a go. It’s the least I could do for this amazing community.

@mark70 would it be possible, in theory, to use this logic to essentially add a virtual beacon to any table? Triggering when it’s called for?i keep trying to think through how to program a pup that stimulates a flasher since some of us have run out of room on our cabs to add such a thing lol

I think you’re right–some sort of combination with the backglass taking longer to load and the table not fully closing out–my undercab LEDs often stay on after I’m done playing that table.
Is there an attract video? I see one in the PUP video folder, but it doesn’t play. Maybe only after I play a game?

First, let me just say: this whole community is awesome. Everyone is so supportive, understanding, and creative to boot! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I’ve scoured the forums to see if this is answered somewhere, but I couldn’t find it (not to say I may have missed it). When you all start WOZ, do you see anything on the backglass? Once I launch the ball, the backglass eventually turns on and I have all the videos working. Wasn’t sure if it was just me, or if it was designed to be that way.
I applied the 4GB patch in case that was it. Full color UltraDMD is working great.
Again, thank you. I’ve almost posted a dozen times over the past year, but each time I re-read instructions and figured it out. You guys all rock.
