I said it before, but I have to say it AGAIN! This is such a nice table. Can’t stop playing. :P Everything just feels so “right”! And of course, it really is a great table to start with. It also runs very smoothly and I get a steady 165fps which is not always the case on my rig with other tables.

Does that monitor/tv refresh +60hz?  My only and next upgrade is a 43″ 144hz when they become realistically priced.  4k 60hz is doing justttt fine for now.

Also, you need to get that colored ROM from vpu to really round off the look.

"Fuck this game. I love it."

Ah, thanks, I didn’t know there was a color Rom. Will definitely check it out!

Regarding the screen, when I built the cab this summer I opted for a 27″ 165hz solution (mini/midi cab) . I decided that high fps was more important for me than 1:1 pinball machine likeness. Once you get used to 100+ fps you can’t go back! ?

I’m guessing y’all who are having problems with the table playing itself are using the S key for start or something.  :)

Remove this line from the script:

            If keycode = 31 then autoflip = 1 – autoflip: playsound “button-click” ‘AXS

That’s it! Thank you, was really confused there for a while! :)

And again, amazing table, thank you so much for all the hard work, really appreciate it!

                Wow, amazing job!!

However, I am having an issue, don’t know if it’s related to this table only or a VP6 issue, since I also installed it because of this table. But what happens is that the flippers “play themselves”. When the ball is near they auto trigger. Seems almost like a debug function? Table really plays itself. Sorry if this is totally my own fault for having done something the wrong way.

Forgive me I don’t think I understand the question. What is it supposed to look like?

I’m sorry I wasn’t clear enough. :) I was referring to the way the cards lit up. But I realize now, after having watched a youtube video that I was just an idiot, it’s supposed to be that way. :) It was just so dark that I initially thought that the whole card should be lit up. Please ignore my post.

Thank you so much for this table, absolutely wonderful!

I do have a question though that I did not see when reading through this thread. Please excuse my extreme lack of knowledge on the subject of table creation but I was curious about this “effect”:

I think I have seen it on other tables as well, “Diner” coming to mind for the customers. Is this a limitation in how the textures and lighting works in VPX? I would imagine it is due to objects would then have to overlap each other and that doesn’t work? Or is it something in my settings causing this?

Sorry if this is an old topic and common knowledge! Again, thanks for all your awesome work!

edit: Tried it, and it IS amazing! Speechless!

What an a amazing job you guys have done! Easily the best table I have tried yet (I’m new to VPX)! One issue I had was with the Rom. I use the 2.0h home rom. But the first versions I found did not have any sound, those Roms will be around 500KB. I then found a 2.0h Rom that was 5MB and of course that was the one with sound. Maybe this can help others googling around for sound issues.

I still have an “outline” of sorts by the flippers though, none of my other tables display this issue. Doesn’t affect gameplay, pure visual.

Turn off ambient occlusion on this table. The texture already have them so you don’t lose anything

                        Thanks, that did the trick!
