I kinda like the background sound, too, but I’m not used to it yet. Before I was born again as a VP snob, I played the TPA version a lot, and they didn’t have the background sound on.

This explains why Farsight lost the licence to Bally tables. I don’t expect Zen to make realistic physics for these, either, but I’d love to be pleasantly surprised.

Before GOTW I think my PB is a little over 700k, and that’s on the only time I got multiball. It’s not an easy table unless you’re playing it on TPA. Not sure how the dip switches work with the Special Award since in the script there are two switches for four settings, which I guess you use four combinations of the two switches to get the different settings? @bord do you know? If not I can test it.

Oh the game tracks player locks in multiplayer? I didn’t know, forever alone and all that. I never caught it checks between games in single player either because I’ve only gotten multiball once. It’s actually probably a buff to manually plunge shots then. In any case, this can be a future example of what to do if lock stealing is possible on a future GOTW table.

Oh right, you can’t avoid lock stealing in multiplayer unfortch, so just single player for this GOTW.

@bord recently finished a nice update to Flight 2000 https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/flight-2000-stern-1980/

To prevent stealing locks between games, which you should do for fair play, here’s a trick. On Line 219 of the script, add
If keycode = RightMagnaSave Then SolBallLock (1)
or replace RightMagnaSave with a whatever key you want. After a game over, press the key a couple times until you flush all the locked balls. Only do this between games unless you want some silly stuff to happen while playing (obviously don’t do this in the middle of a game when competing for the GOTW challenge).

The bones look good. @freneticamnesic fixed a lot of the physical sizing issues with the FP version. I’ve recently been getting back into learning and practicing code. I’m inexperienced with VP table development, but I have some subpar OOP experience. If I have time, I’ll see if I can mod this into a 1:1 recreation of the original Full Tilt version, but I won’t upload anything without permission. Hopefully I’m not just full of hot air.

Can anyone tell me, why freelunch have a “dark-clear” PF, and mine is just bright and Grey ?

I took a screenshot, not a photo. If you look at the download page, BorgDog’s screenshot playfield lighting looks the same as mine. I think your photo is just a little overexposed. If tables generally look more washed out when you play, you could try fiddling with the display settings on your TV. It’s also possible your TV’s viewing angles are not the best and cause it to look more washed out compared to when you look at it head-on.

Sometimes a b2s is made by a different person than the person making the table. Tables are designed to work with ROMs, but the practice of ROM distribution is a legal gray area. No ROMs are hosted here, you might get them at vpuniverse.com vpforums.org monsterbashpincab.com

ROMs definitely, but if you’re a desktop user (only using one screen), you can disable b2s from Preferences > Keys, Nudge, and DOF > Disable B2S

I got my first multiball on game 12, and with 5x locked on the spinner. Thanks for the tips @Thalamus . Scoring feels like squeezing water from a rock before multiball. I was almost discouraged from playing more today after 10 games, but the dopamine in my brain had other ideas. I just didn’t want to quit before getting multiball. Good thing I don’t gamble.

I did play Mad Scientist, and I know the ball textures would change with the teleporter, but is there a time when only one ball in multiball has different switch behavior than the other balls in play at the same time?  I can never clear Raid the Graveyard to be able to reach what I imagine would be a wizard mode (Raid the Graveyard so much harder to clear than all the others, Maxis had an odd idea about balance lol), so maybe you’ve already done what I’m talking about for the wizard mode. I don’t even know if what I’m talking about would be difficult in VP, I just can’t think of any other table that’s done it.

Oh really, I never looked at how different scripting was between VP and FP, but sounds great if you don’t have to do as much work as I thought. The only thing I’m not sure about that could be tricky, is I know Three Angels has an individually textured pinball for the “demon” and per-ball switch behavior for it, and I can’t think of a VP table that does that (not sure if this could even be done IRL either), but I hope the conversions goes simply and smoothly. I’m very excited for this.

Three Angels is my favorite Future Pinball table, excellent choice for a recreation. I considered doing this project myself, but I’m happy to see a more capable and committed person work on this. The Future Pinball’s table script is a monster, though, so I think that’s why no one has recreated this table before despite it being such a wonderfully designed original Future Pinball table.

Interesting you thought it felt harder @Thalamus when I think the physics changes make it easier, although that may be because my brain expects the table to behave more realistically, and I think it does now. Great work. My uncle used to own this machine. My cousin and I played it when we were little kids and had no idea how anything worked, but my uncle knew what he was doing and showed off multiball to us.

                                            20,550,520 on game 14.
During multiball, if you can catch a ball on the left flipper, the jackpot shot is made from the right flipper and the ramp returns it to the right flipper, so I think someone with better consistency than me can definitely abuse multiball for a monstrous score.
