I come back after I achieved vaporware status and @Thalamus is making content. Looking great, thanks everyone who worked on this!

I spent a couple hours playing this tonight, that’s the longest I’ve played any one VP table in a long time. :good: clean, straight forward, flows well, not overly complicated, but far from easy, all good things in my book, very well done. I have not yet been able to save will, that 4 ball multiball is fun though.

Saving Will is the hardest of the first 3 modes. I have only done it a couple times by ignoring the Run and Barb multiball modes.

How do you download these video files? When I click on the “Download” link it just loads a new page with the video playing. If I right click on the playing video and select “save video” it only brings up the ability to save a .htm not the .mp4 or whatever the video format is.

Hover over the video and click the download button on the lower right.

Looks like theses guys have colorized DMDs for a lot of tables. It would be cool to see more color patches for VPX, but these don’t come cheap. Maybe someone who has or obtains these DMDs for their real tables will communicate with some people who make color patches. Sounds like a long shot to me, but idk.

And if that looks too busy, maybe the DMD could say “hit drop targets” or something on a new game or idle state.

              • There are a bunch of lit lights on the locks and multiball. But what else do you think would connect the locks and jackpots better ?

I didn’t think about this as I already read how the table worked before I first played, but for anyone who doesn’t already know what they’re doing, I’d say make all the drop targets that start locks and modes flash. The locks and jackpots flash to guide the player already so I think that’s fine, but the default table state has no flashing shot guides until you’ve already dropped the targets for a lock or for the lower playfield.

I’ve never played a “real-time” 4x, should be interesting. I may give it a go if I find time.

Got the ball stuck in this position 3 times. It can’t be nudged loose once like this.

You haven’t by any chance changed the vpinballx.exe for robs’ version and forgotten about it ? I need to ask, because these are some of the symptoms I saw.

                    I’m using 10.2.1 release build http://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/visual-pinball-x-standalone-exe-10-2-1/

Increasing light-related timers is one of the first things I tried with these tables. I’m a desktop user, so b2s is disabled and I removed the backglass files for good measure. I tried turning off playfield element reflections, ball reflections, all forms of anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, elements detail level, and the stuttering is identical. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

So I started a “new” multi-ball mode 2 times and couldn’t figure out how, but the thrid time I noticed I knocked the captive ball loose under Daffy/Bugs to start it lol

hmm, I’ll have to see if I can replicate that error, it’s in the high score initial entry section, and from where its at you were playing desktop right, no db2s?

                            Correct.

After losing ball 5 on a game I got a lot of pegs:
                              Script Error
                              Line 1984
Invalid procedure call or argument ‘ASC’

This is imo the most interesting EM style table I’ve played because of the unique scoring. I like how changes to the game state encourage the player to reevaluate how they can score. I’m not a cribbage player, but the theme seems well executed.

Just like with your DD beta, I love the visual updates.

Concern: I spent about 15 minutes doing nothing but trying to hit the ball up the center ramp, 0% success rate, tried left flipper and right flipper.

And the ball is on logo mode, I assume it was left on by accident.

Oh, oh, I have 2 cents on Windows 10 too! Unfortunately, Windows 10 was not designed to be the best OS it could be. It was designed to data mine end users who don’t know how to turn off all the anti-privacy settings, and increase web traffic for Bing (I’ve read the latter has worked quite well for Microsoft). I would stick with Windows 7 myself if I didn’t believe Microsoft would kill it in due time. Also, Windows 10 is probably going to get better support from developers as more users adopt the OS (mostly because they will buy new pre-built PCs without Windows 7 as an option). I just hope the Universal Windows Platform continues to get widely ignored by developers in favor of old-fashioned executables. I don’t like how the Google Play Store functions on Android, and Google has used it to effectively corner the software distribution market for Android, something Microsoft wants to do for Windows.

Thanks, I’m just rehashing things I learned already or can figure out. I think it’s better the devs making all these great tools spend less time answering faqs and more time developing their software.

Some of the tables such as Metallica LE have a .xml file included. What is the correct folder for that file?

You don’t need It’s just alternative settings for different pre-set camera perspectives, nothing you can’t do yourself to your own liking in camera mode (f6). There will already be defaults set up for the table, but if the xml has the settings you want, you can import > Backdrop POV

Tom, I’m not a soccer fan, but this game is awesome. One problem though, I seem to be getting crashes from UltraDMD (v1.4) during the game (see error from event log below). Never had this problem with UltraDMD in any other games. What seems strange is that after the crash, visual pinball reports the error at line 282 (in version 1.2 of table), which is inside the DisplayIntro timer method. Why would the DisplayIntro timer be running during the game?

Application: UltraDMD.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
