Hey Guys, I know this is an older table and what not, but is there anyway to remove the screen shake effect when the ball hits the bumpers? I find it makes me a bit motion sick. I play it on desk top mode and when the bumpers or the ramps are hit it shakes the screen.

Try deleting the st_161h.nv from the \nvram folder and let the system reinitialize the table and you should get sound back.OK, I have a question that I am hoping you guys can help with.
For some reason the sound isn’t working. The basic sound from the table is working fine, but the sound from the ROM isn’t. I have the volume maxed via the DMD, and the game plays fine, but there is no sound.
I am using the st_161h rom and it used to work in the past just fine, but that was my old machine. I now have Windows 10. I have the sam installed that came with the recent installer, so I wonder if it is that… but Walking Dead worked fine.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you, but that didn’t work. I did resolve the issue. I just downloaded the 162 code from Stern and renamed it 161… works so far.

Thanks, but that didn’t work. Again the issue is that PinMAME and the table load fine, but the DMD is behind the rendered table in Desktop Mode. I have to alt-tab over to it, select it with the mouse, and then tab back to the table. Again not a deal breaker, just annoying and I was hoping to fix it.
Some tables work just find and don’t do this.

Any chance this table is getting updated at all? I too have the issue of balls leaving the table.. usually when i am on a high scoring run .. :( That being said I have experimented with adding walls, but I wondering if it it being caused by some collision physics though. I notice that when the ball hits a wall it sometimes jumps back. Thoughts?

You don’t really need special modifications like Xenonph did. But, the description should get you going.
Thank you Thalamus!! This worked! I can now tweek the table so that it looks right in Desktop mode.
I was wondering how to get the B2S window to hover over the game window? When I click on the game window so that I can play it the B2S disappears behind it. The Ultra DMD is there, just not the B2S. I can Alt-Tab to it though… any ideas?

Thalamus, can you please point me in the direction of instructions on how to set this up? Thank you!

Definitely overwhelmed by the response … thanks to all for the interest. Of course there can be no other choice now than to take this further. Here’s the plan …
Sliderpiont has supplied hi-res versions of all three playfields and the flippers that are on the actual game. He also pointed out that the current version is not the correct size. So one of the things that must be done is to convert the table over to the correct size using the images (and blueprints) from Sliderpoint. However first on my list is to get PuP player working on my desktop and cabinet so the issues with expanding the backglass can be managed. This will also allow moving from animations to movie clips (e.g. GameOver & I’m melting) as suggested by many. Both these items are plenty to keep me busy and progress will be posted.
Some specific responses …
emBee: Except for the flippers, if the items you mentioned are available in hi-res then they would be helpful and go well with what Sliderpoint supplied. Although it’s not something immediate, getting an image (or even a primitive) of the witch’s legs that pop out of the house is an item that my wife keeps asking about so it will need to be done.
Anyone who has other items (e.g. image, primitives) that would improve the current version beyond what Sliderpoint has supplied is also welcome to either pm me or simply post it or a link.
vogliadicane: The distribution of the sounds to the various parts of the cabinet does need to be reviewed and its consistency improved. It is now also on the list of things to do.
Jeremy: The error you have identified is where the table script is attempting to control a backglass element, specifically this is a subroutine used to clear the backglass and it is called often and early. If you are running in desktop mode without a backglass then this is the cause of the error. There has been almost no attention paid to running the game in desktop mode and it has never been played without a backglass. Currently some of the game progress (e.g. progress toward BOTW) has no other way to be displayed and there are events that are only visible on the backglass. The backglass is a big part of the game experience. Although running the table in desktop mode is something that should be addressed, it will need to wait until the above items are dealt with unless someone elese wants to run with it.
francisco bambino: The current version has been built using the rulesheets available from papa.org (the specific link is https://papa.org/wp-content/uploads/WOZ-Rulesheet-Version-1-26.pdf) . All current version deviations from these rules are detailed in the table script lines 42 – 125. If there is something that supercedes what papa.org produced and is available, it would be wonderful to see. If anyone wants to discuss the basis of the existing rule deviations or point out flaws, please post or pm.
Thanks and obviously someone has alot of work to do.
I wonder if we could do what they did on Stranger Things table. This would allow you to show the back glass in desktop mode.

1 user thanked author for this post.
I am so excited for this!!! Is there anyway to play without the b2s? I play on desktop primarily.
Thanks again for making this.
Edit: I am getting a controller error on line 9411.

Well I started with light adjusting as I always just loved how pinball tables look. I love the usually warm lighting, especially in a dark room… it just invites me in and gets me going.

I saw Bord’s mod and it looks great. I will have to learn this technique. In the meantime here is a slightly darker version of the above. I also added a bit of orange to the lighting to give a slightly warmer look.

@jeremy : You know. Its when you start poking around that this hobby really starts to be fun. Personally I prefer tables to be darker like Bord did show us in the original thread for this table. So, I would much rather see the light coming through on a darker play field. It is easier to evaluate the lighting you’ve done as well that way. But, I agree. It looks good. The problem with lighting tables is when your task all of a sudden revolves around drop targets.
Thank you for the feedback! I will check out Bord’s comment. Do you mean to say that the table as a whole should be darker which would make the lights stand out brighter?

Thank you BorgDog, I will check out that file you referred to. I also have started to just look and figure things out based on what I am seeing. So far so good.
For my own collection of tables I am trying to go for consistent look as far as lighting goes. I also just started tinkering with other elements as well.
Thanks again, I love your work! Please keep it up!

Actually there is one technical thing I’ve just noticed. Sometimes the left ramp doesn’t register a hit and I noticed that when this happens the little swinging gate on the ramp isn’t moving.

Great table. I am playing this one a lot. My question isn’t with the technical aspect but rather gameplay. I can get to Save the President, but I don’t know how to trigger the mode. Ideas?

OK, for some reason it worked this time. Does it only trigger on a three ball multi-ball? Or does it also work for a two ball multi-ball?
Thank you for the support by the way.
