Eager to play this one, but the sound is garbled to NON-existant. Just upgraded to latest 10.2 bete and problem remains. Table plays, but there really is no sound.
Any ideas?
Thanks

At long last. Rev 1.1 is released.
This is NOT the same table as the initial release. I have spent an additional 26 hours or so adding countless more detail in every single way. Thanks to cyberpez and rothbauerw for the assistance in adding new functionality to the table.
No stone left un-turned on this table. Every single thing from the real machine as far as I can tell, is here right down to a fully functional ball trough. A functional diverter has even been added to face two (eyes face) just like the real machine. Physics tweak by referencing the real thing.
Hope everybody enjoys the table. Now onto Funhouse.
Everyone enjoy.

32,
I found an excellent resource for Elvira. You might have already seen it. But it shows the coffin mechanisms in great detail:

The update is just about done.
The initial release has undergone a lot of changes. There have been countless improvements to physics, visuals and sound. I manged to log some time playing the real BOP and I am confident in saying, the VP tables plays very much like the real thing. Wont be much longer for the release.
Physics related revisions:
- Some minor rubber physics changed (Based off playing the real machine). The small post rubbers elasticity dialed back just a bit.
- Ball size now to scale.
- PF slope increased to speed up the ball action.
- Lower PF kicker hole kick force greatly increased.
- Upper PF floor, posts and rubbers now to near exact scale.
- Drain post added as a switchable option
- Slingshots walls and objects completely redone. No more hit & miss in responsiveness.
- Crossover ramp ball speed increased.
- Glitchy ball lock issue (could drop both balls together) fixed.
- Crossover VP ramp redone to precisely match prim ramp.
Visuals
- Ball lock area switch animations now fixed.
- 1-way gate plates/wires closing speed now much more realistic.
- Helmet lighting better dialed in.
- Eyes and mouth lighting better dialed in.
- Eyes and mouth kick-out solenoids added to face.
- All micro-switch arms now animated.
- Wire ramp prim below the face now to scale.
- PF shadows added
- Pop-bumper skirts now blue in color
- Shooter lane gate bracket added.
Sounds:
- JPs ball rolling and collision sounds added
- Shooter lane wire ramp sound added.
- Crossover ramp sounds added.
- Ball return to shooter (dropping on rail) sound added.
Many thanks to Rothbauerw and Markrock76 for their recent contributions to the table.

Hey wrd… I was just thinking, and I don’t know how do-able this would be or if you would be interested, but if you did an apron thing for the top “three flashing lights” sign, kind of like mfugemann did for Junkyard, a person could stretch the table a little closer to aspect ratio correctness (not needing to keep the top sign visible on the screen). Just thought I would throw it out there as an idea. Feel free to disregard.
I would do this only if it were a switchable option in the script. If some one wants to script it, I will add it to the table.

Getting real close to releasing an update.
Need some help on a few things from some scripters.
- The two animated switch arms in the ball lock area, are not remaining moved when the ball or balls are parked. They move initially but return to their normal position in the middle of the parked ball. Will someone please send me the required sripting to fix this?
- I have a trigger just before the shooter lane wire ramp. It is call “Rwirestart” and it is used to play the wire ramp rolling sound. When the ball comes down the cross-over ramp and reewnters the shooter lane to be plunged again. It is hitting this trigger and playing the wire ramp rolling sound when it should not. I need the “Rwirestart” somehow linked to the SW52 so that the only time the sound plays, is during a plunge. In other words, I need “Rwirestart” to only activate with forward ball motion.
I am trilled with how the table is playing now. I actually tuned it while playing the real thing. Yes at the real machine, laptop on top of the glass, in a bowling alley. They must have thought I was nuts. LOL

Ok guys an update is in the works.
I located a real BOP and gained some very valuable experience on how it plays. First off, the shuttle ramp is playing very similar to the real thing. So no major physics changes are needed. One other thing I noticed is that the real machine was playing noticeable faster than the VP table. So I have added more slope to the table to speed things up some. Also sped up the ball in the crossover ramp a bit.
One issue I have been fighting is inconsistent slingshot kicks. Seems the ball would hit a sling and not activate on a frequent basis. This was due to using a collidable rubber and the sling wall was somehow butting heads with it. I have made the main rubber NON collidable and added two additional walls to form the perimeter of the sling. So with only the sling wall on the hitting side, it is playing a ton better. This issue was greatly affecting gameplay IMO..but now its fixed.
JP’s ball rolling sounds have been added.
Will add the shooter ramp sound soon.
Numerous small visual tweaks plus a missing GI light under the shuttle ramp.
Thanks again for all of the compliments and support. And expect an even better playing table very soon.

Thats a big fat negative. I just update DOF config and now its working correctly. Thanks
This table is an ass-kicker, thanks for the awesome lighting and attention to detail. I do have one more question.
My DOF solenoid feedback is making the vengeance ship bounce extremely crazy. It also will not return to its “home” position and can get stuck pointing upwards. Is it possible to revise the script so that the ship is not affected by DOF/nudge?

Thanks again for the support and compliments guys. I really enjoy doing this making the tables the best they can be. As I have said many times before, many thanks to the outstanding contributors who greatly assist along the way. And for those who dont know, Funhouse is next.
I know where there is a real BOP about 70 miles from where I live and I am planning to go there today and play it. If I do, I will take videos as well. This would be the first time I ever actually played the real thing. Maybe I can even get a manager to remove the glass for more pics and detail investigation.

Just downloaded latest table. I have a backglass but no DOF. Just installed latest 10.2 beta and still no DOF. Did not see a “switch” in the script.
Is there an issue with DOF?

To be honest, all of the flipper enhancements discussion has made my head go numb. The technical sausage making of it is just way over my head. That said, if there is a flipper mod that is working correctly and meeting expectations, then yes I want it in there.
Someone please add the code to the table and send it to me for the next update which will happen rather soon. I have already found a few things that need to be tweaked and we can get this in there no problem.

Glad everyone is enjoying the table.
Even with the beta, there were concerns with hitting the shuttle ramp. The issue with the beta table, was that the ramp was more narrow than it should be. That width issue has been fixed with the release.
There is also another distinguishing characteristic of the ramp that makes it more challenging to hit that has has not been mentioned. If you look at the front portion of it, it goes from 0 height to ~54 height very quickly in order for it to clear the loop path underneath. In other words, it has the steepest incline I have ever seen on a pin ramp and that is likely contributing to its perceived difficulty. Maybe this is a difficulty for the physics engine.
It kind of seems to me that tweaking the flippers may not be the best solution but rather playing around with the physics of the ramp. It kind of seems like if you dont have a perfect shot, the ball loses its energy to severely when it hits the ramp wall. I will play around with it a bit and maybe others can as well.

Hi Rusty,
I know the feeling of “needing to give back” and that encouraged me to learn to make tables. I think its awesome that you are willing to contribute time and resource to help the authors with PF image work. I can speak for them and say that it is greatly appreciated.
At the moment, I don’t have anything. But I would like to keep your offer in my back pocket for possible future use.
Thanks for the offer.
Bill

I have gotten a couple of ball sticks around rubber 10…when the ball drops from the clear ramp and stages for ma “thing flip”. Its either getting stuck on rubber 10 or the pop-bumper just to the right. If I can, I will get a pic. Also, I believe the L and R sling DOF might be reversed. When the left sling is hit, the right side DOF solenoid is kicking. And vice-versa.
Table is looking great.
