      Hey Fren,

Can you please tell me what to change in the script to have the GI “ON” when the table starts. I do this to have a lit viseo for PinballX.

      Thanks

Okay. I have not yet attempted 10.2 since I have been working on tables. So that must be the issue.,

Is it just me. Or are the PF inserts lights not working?

                  Uhh…Big Fat NO!!

Agree with Dan…its nice since you would never own the multiple machines that have been emulated. But I will take it a step further. I just can go to the local “fill in the blank” and play the real things…let alone owning them. Like I have told others, VP is the only way period I am likely going to ever be able to enjoy tables that I have played in the past…or have never played at all. They are absolute apples and oranges.

As great as VP10 is, there is still a good way to go before I can consider it something other that a simulation. When I play real Funhouse and VP Funhouse side by side. the VP ball action just feels so scripted and binary. Well Duh…it is scripted and binary. When the devs figure out how to add more “randomness” to the ball action and its interaction with objects, it will start to emerge from being just a simulation. But I think that will eventually happen. But even then, I cant see it ever being capable of replacing the real thing.

You can count on it. Currently working on Funhouse and Bride of Pinbot.

Going to be a while for both though.

Yeah if you revise the backdrops, it will likely jack up the sidewalls and the side rails.

I will ask one of the 3D gurus to create a single prim for both my wall and rail as a single object. That way, backdrop revisions wont effect them. That would be a nice enhancement moving forward.

                                      Updates as follows:

                                      • New Mixmaster: Now correctly modeled with the sloped sides…and BTW, its NOT a Prim. This bitch took a long damn time to get right. Also, The ball action in the MM is a now, truly “random”. Currently, the ball exit is controlled by a timer and an exit gate which lead to very consistent (almost routine) ball action. Now, the ball might stay in there a second…or maybe six seconds. Much more realistic…more random like it should be. And hopfully, no violently ejected balls. LOL
                                      • Improved ball and object physics: Its now not as “erratic” as before. Ball action is just better.
                                      • New lighting: Big improvements here and no more fog. Playfield just pops like it should.
                                      • Big Shot Bully animations: The Bully now shakes as he jumps up and down just like on the real machine. Thanks GTXJoe. :otvclap:
                                      • Various objects re-scaled to exact size.
                                      • Shadow layer. Thanks Haunt Freaks.

Let me also check the slope of my real BBBB. What is the generally desired angle?

Wow thanks or the great review of the table…checks in the mail ;)

Like mentioned before, I spent a tone of time manually rolling and bouncing balls in the real thing to try to dial in the VP table. I even stop-watched the ball rolling from point to point on the table to translate the physics. And of course a bunch of playing as well.

                                            Ck,

on my real BBBB, the ball glances off the left sling. But I would be happy to reevaluate it and the PF friction. And yes, its a 1991 machine. I think the PF friction is about right though. The ball action in the main PF area can be quite quick even on the real BBBB and especially through the right flipper lane.

I will grab all of the concerns that end up here (including flipper darkness) and run a rev in a week or two.

Thanks for posting your comments. I do appreciate them.
