It was a pleasure Mortiis , to make videos for you to better understand how exactly to use the R2.6 SDK . Next series (not right away) will be my EM reels (which you have already asked for). And that will be the whole thing, you will have learned everything.. a big achievement really. Took the span of 2 years to develop, and it took one week for you to learn by example.

Anyway the table looks great, already enjoying playing it! and thanks JPSalas for the great tables you make!

for sure Nick developing is the lifeblood of everything … I’m just the user of the tool … sure that it’s not like a “screwdriver” that just rotates and that’s it … but its your development none of that it would be possible … for now I still have free time, but if God wants an hour, the pandemic here will tend to decrease, the economy will improve again, I will have a job again and then time will be more scarce … in the meantime I always enjoy and learn new things, and it is certainly a pleasure to learn something that few know how to do.

And yes, now only the EM will be missing … then I will have the “Complete FSS Course” hehehe

The backglass image doesn’t fill the backglass (horizontally)

I also seem to be missing something fundamentally in the way that FSS tables are designed – why does the display have to be in portrait? This limits the tables you can have in your set up to only FSS tables it seems, without manually adjusting layback on all FS tables to rotate 90 degrees. This is more of a thinking out loud thing than a question, I don’t expect it to change, I just don’t understand it

        Hi @freneticamnesic

on the BG, in the not too distant future I will launch a revision 2 of this FSS, I will probably completely redo the BG of it, so I will fix this flaw. About the display of FSS tables, in fact the FSS tables, as you may already know, are made for a portrait configuration on a single screen, so the layout of the display in the portrait position … the intention is not to have FSS messas an FSS setup with FS tables, as this would be impossible in an FSS setup, since the FSS setup does not have a second display for an eventual BG and scoring display. But in fact I am happy that many FS setup users use the FSS tables in their booths, even if they have to modify some table settings before they are able to play.

SOON I will start updating all the tables I have already made, as well as launching new FSS with the most current version of Arconovum’s FSS programming, so that they are closer to the “artistic” quality of the tables he makes.

Fantastic Nick …. really fantastic Nick … you are undoubtedly an artist … one day I will get there … today I am a production line like a “Ford’s” … you are already a producer undoubtedly of real “Ferrari’s” …

You are in luck, because Ford ended up beating Ferrari (Le Mans 1966). ;-)

fantastic this phase in the history of Ford, but it was an isolated case hehehe and let’s say it was not “Ford” but two geniuses who came together to do something unique, and put the name “Ford” :yahoo:

After installing this all my tables failed to work. After Deleting it my tables went back to normal. For some reason it would make my monitors switch and backglass would be main and table secondary> I tested it a couple of times and not sure why it is doing this>I saw where others have had same issues with other tables.Beware

              Hi Tiraxus

This probably happens because my screen that I use to edit, test and play the tables is screen 2 (a portrait screen connected to a notebook), so it is identified in my vpx as: playfield display 2 … possibly in the know case and many others the playfield is the display 1 …

As it is an FSS table, theoretically it is meant to be played only on 1 screen, so for those who have only one screen in their setup, this conflict will not exist, for those who have setups with playfield on display 1, backglass on display 2, can this conflict will occur … I am not sure if all will happen …. as I said a few times, my setup has only a portrait screen connected to a notebook (very limited basic system, unfortunately I don’t have a cabinet yet, and I I don’t use b2s, that is, I don’t play FS tables) … but let’s see if I make display 2 my main display, something will change for those who have this conflict … I believe not, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

              Thanks for the feedback.

              Regards

Thanks for all the great FSS converstions, Morttis. Go an error when balls collided during multiball. These lines were highlighted in editor:

Function Pitch(ball) ‘ Calculates the pitch of the sound based on the ball speed

                Pitch = BallVel(ball) * 20

                End Function

                Any ideas?

hi Ben, I did a review, I ended up duplicating a function now, I found it faster than redoing the entire sound script to solve just this bug. I believe it solved the problem, please test the table and let me know if it has been solved.

I downloaded an earlier version of this table and the physics were a mess and parts of it did not work well. Is this one better on those things?

It was really a mess, I tried to improve as much as I could … Well, download it and play it a few times and then tell me what you think about the new physics … I believe it has improved … But I didn’t play her much, so I don’t know if she had more defects besides physics … One thing is for sure … The lower playfield, I couldn’t leave the ball with the physics I wanted, in fact I couldn’t understand where I could modify it to make the game play slower only in the lower playfield, I wanted to increase the ball’s mass but I couldn’t change the ball’s mass just in the lower playfield … But please, play the FSS and say what you think.

This plays nicely. Will it work on a cab somehow? It plays the best so far with jps flipper tweaks.

Thanks for your positive feedback … the physics of JPSalas really matched this table perfectly, I still made some personal adjustments, I really tried to make the real table as realistic as possible.

About your question the table be compatible in FS format. I just sent the updated version 1.5 FS with the graphic and physical part of JP to GTXJoe, I believe that soon he can upload the update on the official page of the FS table … this update now depends on him, unfortunately I have no access the FS version page to update the table :good:

One question…how do you get the dmd info on the dmd? Thanks!

You should not change the display format for this table. It will only work correctly vertically (portrait). From the picture you changed to play on the desktop horizontally, so you misconfigured the Dmd and the backdrop … On this table you will not be able to play this way.

I don’t use FSS, not yet, but i have a set of some Images from real Machine (Tape, Reactor Photos, … ), if you want to change that instead of the “DMD” Part, let me know.

                          Hi STAT

It would be interesting to see these photos, however, this part of the DMD, unfortunately it needs to be black, because the display uses a black background for the letters and numbers, which would be strange if I use any design in this area … the really cool one if it were possible to adapt the PulpPack video in this area, then it would be perfect, but unfortunately it is not possible.

But please can you contact me in private and send the images, suddenly I can use the images to improve the speakers, or the “edges” of the DMD …

                          Thanks

Nice work. Do you have this available for 3 screen users?

I don’t have, I make the modifications directly in the FSS version, but I believe that if you modify the POV settings for your setup it will work (but I didn’t do any tests because I don’t have this type of setup).

Friend … your will is also mine. I would love to put tables with PulpPack in the FSS format, but I was informed that the support of PulpSystem and also UltraDMD make it impossible for me to set up these tables in this format.

I tried UltraDMD, but I need the software to be opened and the ultraDMD window to be able to overlay the playfield and support me to use inside flash windows, but at the moment this is unfortunately not possible.

As for PulpSystem, I did not scan in depth if it is possible to overlap and move the windows of the “videos” and they overlap the area of the “playfield” or to be inserted also in “flash” windows of the visual pinball (flash windows are the same as they are used for lights, for normal DMDs in the FSS versions and for countless other things, if one day this is possible, maybe it will be possible to make tables with these technologies, but for now not.)

For example, the Displays that JPSalas created for its original tables (example Ghosbuster Slimer) it is possible to make an FSS version, I can “adapt”, it is my “gambiarra” work, but when it centralizes and blocks, there is no more error … I just haven’t done the Ghosbuster Slimer yet, because I’m waiting for JP to launch with his physics update.

There is also Total Nuclear Annihilation, which gives me the option of using normal DMD, UltraDMD and PulpPack, if I disable PulpPack I have a normal DMD that is not the traditional one, but I can adapt it, so in the near future I will launch this table too.

Anyway, I’m doing my best, but there are limitations unfortunately.

Not relevant, just an observation. Playfield DMD display much easier to read!

sorry friend, i think in portuguese it can sometimes sound a little rude in english … when i commented that it wasn’t relevant, it is because although it is a possibly noticeable detail, it doesn’t make the table less attractive, and when the light goes on it is possible to visualize … if you decrease the intensity of the D&N light it can also be better, so there is a well defined Day & Night effect on the FSS tables, to improve all these things too, it will change the general lighting of the table … just no the intensity of the insert lights will change, these are fixed.

About DMD I improved it, yes, on this basis I am now using the definition of DMD is better …. and in VPX 10.7 it seems to be even better, I am not using it effectively yet, but I have already done tests and it is noticeable the improvement .. I hope that the final stable version 10.7 will be released soon.

What was the fix implemented for the kicker issue? I would like to fix my regular version.

in the regular version (2.1 original by 32assassin), I changed:

line 193         bsLeftCannon.InitKick Kicker7,32,25      (I changed the left too so that the ball doesn’t get faster on one side than on the other.)

line 198         bsRightCannon.InitKick Kicker8,-35,25      (this is the one that was in trouble originally)

the most important thing is to modify what is in bold.

Is the non FSS Mod still avail somewhere?

Try to use the last final version that I just uploaded on the website (SkitsoMod) … it is configured for FSS version, so you must change the display settings for FS … I haven’t tested it because I can’t do this, but I believe that works.
