No, not your fault! The ramp primitves don’t fit to the playfield. I don’t have enough room to make it fit. Same with Frank. He should be a bit bigger but then his hands would be under the ramp. That would make the ball throw feature look stupid! I could try to make his arms shorter but i need @Dark s permission to do this!

January 19, 2020 at 1:21 pm #159421Is the ramp what’s not correct or frank sizing? I made him fit best I could at the time based off photo references and the vp table layout. Whether in VP or in 3D he’s easy enough to re-size but if he is to be as close to the ‘correct’ size then the ramp issues should be dealt with. You can feel free to modify the Frank model as needed, all my models are to be used freely and can be modified any way you like. I only stipulate that I must always be credited for my models in works and that they not be re-distributed.

January 19, 2020 at 3:00 pm #159435The ramps are the problem. I will give the layout on the back of the table one more shot.
@dark I’m giving credit for excellent work. That’s for sure! Thanks for letting us use this piece of art!You need to login in order to like this post: click here
January 19, 2020 at 3:24 pm #159440To answer your question:
The problem is the hole under the vertical wire ramp at the back of the table.

January 19, 2020 at 5:01 pm #159452I recently completed the tank for goldeneye, I will begin on the helicopter soon which i don’t think will take too long since I think it will be easier than the tank was. After I have the helicopter finished I plan to update my Frank model. I estimate with my current amount of free time to work on this stuff, I’ll likely have helicopter done in around ~2weeks from now.
If you have ramps and overall table layout fixed and finalized by then I could make any necessary adjustments to make Frank fit right with the update. I just need an accurate table mesh export to work off of.

January 19, 2020 at 6:40 pm #159458Would it help to take measurements on a real table?

January 19, 2020 at 7:45 pm #159464Measurements definitely help, especially for ramp heights as you can never really tell the heights from schematics, in most cases in VP they are basically just eye-balled to match photos and surrounding elements.

January 19, 2020 at 11:54 pm #159479Z Hights would definetly help. XY is tied to the PF we have. But it also depends on the meshes we already have. I’ll try to make a little more room for Frank and try to get the vertical kicker hole in the right spot!

January 20, 2020 at 3:34 pm #159604Looks like i solved the problems! Frank got bigger and the ramps, vert kicker and PF thing now fits together.
Do you still want to work on Frank? If yes, how should i export the table for you?

January 20, 2020 at 5:33 pm #159615I can get measurements, but I’ll probably have one shot.  Let’s see how the new models work, and if specific meaurements or questions can be listed, I’ll call in a favor and get the exact answers as best as I’m able.

Yes I plan to start on him in a few weeks, so no hurry.

January 22, 2020 at 4:16 am #159818The final layout. I also added the missing decals
The only things left before starting with the texture render:
Flupper domes
Make a view smaller metalparts that are missing
Change transparent ramp material to one that works with VPX
PS inserts and TT-Fonts

January 22, 2020 at 9:02 am #159836I’ve always thought that this table looks kind of messy and unattractive. You’ve made me change my mind @schreibi34 !
Really nice !

I always though the artwork looked great but the playfield feels crowded with lots of things to deflect balls back at the player, I think the core of the playfield layout issue is the targets below the red pop bumper mid field. The targets form a wall mid field that just blocks so much of the upper portion of the PF.
