I feel bad that, as excited as I was for this table, I’m just getting around to playing and commenting. I got my monitors set back up, updated my VP files and started going through some of my untouched tables about a week ago or so.
This one turned out really great. It’s such a classic and I have memories of playing it in a boardwalk arcade in Myrtle Beach years ago on a trip with some friends. I love the way the pinbot visor dome catches reflections when it moves… it looks so great. I’m sure I will be playing this one a lot.
Thanks, bord.

Definitely… put your work in the showcase and upload it to the tables section.

No problem at all… it was an easy redraw and not really even a significant contribution to all the work that went in on this table. I’m just glad to see another great table for VPX. Thanks again.

Thanks, Scottacus… I showed this table to my girlfriend, as she remembered seeing the redraw, and she said the finished table looked amazing. She doesn’t even pinball, but I have to agree with her. Great work.

Did you update the script with the text info included with the backglass?

Yeah, the yellow rectangle you guys mentioned is the same effect I was talking about a page or two ago.

Well, I did just investigate and it looks like I had written over my b2s server files and forgot to unblock them again at some point. I’m not sure if this made much difference… maybe a little.
Yeah, my 1660 was about the same price as yours… they have about the same performance as a 1070, but the 1070’s are still holding at about $500… it was a no-brainer.
On a side note, I’m noticing that the flashers on the top and bottom half of the screen seem to be two different shades… dividing the screen in half, two different colors when the flashers are going. Is this something I did, or are other people noticing this?
*edit* I should add that I just set my system back up for VP and updated my files, so it’s entirely possible that I’m missing something. I’m noticing some other problems now as well.
*edit* One thought I did just have is that something that did change since I last ran VP… the 1660 I got didn’t have a second DVI out, so my backglass monitor is running at a different refresh rate than my PF monitor right now.

This is the only backglass I can remember that gave me stutter from animations even when I was running my 960… so, I’m skeptical that it is a setup issue.
The 1660 is an incredible deal… after waiting so long for the crypto-mining crash so that the price of cards would drop again, when this new line came out I jumped on it. I just got mine almost a month ago. I can max out all my game settings for PC games and it’s more than enough for VPX. If anyone has been waiting to upgrade, get one of these before the prices skyrocket again… lol (hopefully, they won’t).

I spent a whole day trying to figure out why I was getting stutter on this table. It was my system and not the table. What are you running for hardware? What version of windows?
Current Project: Perpetual updates of VPX physics.
Windows 10 with an i7 8700, nvidia 1660 and 16gb of ddr5. It only stutters when the backglass animation kicks in.

Thanks rothbauerw… it seems to works fine, but those animations cause some stutter, even at 1x.

Hey guys… just got this table up and running… looks really fantastic. I was a bit confused as to whether I was supposed to make script changes for the new backglass? I saw there was some script stuff included with the download. Can anyone point me to some instructions for this or maybe just a quick explanation? Thanks.

Thanks, edizzle… really nice to see this one completed and the screenshots look awesome. It really evolved from the old version I saw.

Thanks, Knorr and crew… the build-up from the pic heavy Wip thread has everyone really excited about this one. I recently upgraded to a nvidia 1660, and just in time, it seems to play this heavy hitter in silky, smooth style.
Thanks again!

I got to see some of the early progress on this project way back when CryptDoctor started it… I know he has been wanting to finish this one, so I’m really happy to see it posted. Looks really cool!

Here is a link to a tutorial for setting up your own pov settings. Very easy and you can break the reliance on other people’s pov/xml files.
