Hi SCC,
I have exactly the same issue. I’m updating a Win 7 SP1 VPX 10.0 system for someone, and trying to do a parallel install.
Setup.exe works fine, and I can get colour DMDs working in the right place etc.
Attempt to run a table, and I get teh same error.
Did you get a solution?
Thanks
Steve.

Works fine here with latest vpinmame (not sambuild). But, like everytime, altsound is ways to quiet so the *.csv (gain section) must be edited.
Thank you very much
Could you please explain about the gain file? Not heard of this before – are all altsounds needing to be amended?
Thanks!

Hi Frank,
Just got a typo in your support documentation :
NO DIRECTB2S BACKGLASS RUNNING:
You MUST NOT have a directb2s running at all, or it will obscure the PuP Backglass!!!
“Simply make sure you have a copy of your favorite <span style=”color: #ff0000;”>Ironman</span> table (intended only for use with this PuP-Pack), and make sure it is named VERY differently to your directb2s file, so when you launch that copy of your table it won’t launch the directb2s!”
Fantastic effort – but you know that ;)

Great stuff Rich, and details that I’m already taking away and incorporating. My inspiration for cab design is also randr and TerryRed.
Feeling a bit ashamed that it’s taken me 18 months to get anywhere near a piece of wood, but threads like yours are spurring me on.
My long term goal is a UK based Virtual Pin tournament weekend – not quite VPinburgh, but I can dream, right?!
