I can make the texture opaque and it will fix the seams
Any progress on fixing this? ☺

I’m not sure if this is an improvement or just a change, what do you think: (click images for a larger view)
Here I have changed the purple to a blue that is more coherent with the colors elsewhere on the table. Also cleaned up texture edges and added shadows.
Changed the arrow to match other red hues around the table. Also higher resolution and sharper looks.
Same here, cleaned edges, added shadows and corrected colors.
Changed bumbers colors to a more muted versions.

Yeah, don’t take this in a wrong way. I have the highest respect to everything you guys do. The ramps look absolutely fine, it’s just the little details there that bug me. Like the edges of the lower part of the left ramp textures have odd black outlines, the color stripes are of different shade than the ones in the lower plastics and the ramp mod textures lack any shadows…. stuff like that.

I’m not a fan of the unfinished/unpolished look of the new ramps ripped from FP. Especially the left one. I’m in the process of polishing them up, cleaning the edges and adding shadows. I will send them to Haunt as soon as I’m satisfied with the end result and they can be incorporated in the build if he likes them.

Thanks a bunch guys, an amazing recreation of the real one.
Few issues:
-I once got a stuck ball in the left outlane
-If turtle weapons mod is enabled, the upper right hand turtle doesn’t have his swords.
-If I change sound volume (via F12), flippers won’t work after that. Havn’t found any volume settings in the rom menu. (pressing 7 and expand adj)
-Performance drops in multiball. All the tables I have run flawlessly 165hz on my system, even the new G5K AFM. This table is 165hz too, but as soon as I get a multiball, the performance drops to 120-130hz.

I’m playing with single portrait fullscreen setup. I can’t find a way to have the DMD window visible. Could someone help me out. Thanks! :)

July 24, 2018 at 8:56 am in reply to: Metallica Premium Monsters (Stern 2013) mod of many other mods + Fast Flips #93336Thanks Draifet. I’ve already set the hammer to be invisible. The issue I’m having is the ball on the playfield that is normally not seen as it’s behind the hammer. And that ball is constantly turning and rollig and twitching. Which is not cool. ;)
do mean the ball is shuttering? <—– this would be your setup or settings
or the light reflections? <—–if you dont like these, you can turn them off (but there part of the realism)
I think I mean the first one. The static ball under the hammer seems like it spins around all the time on it’s own. But like Thalamus said above, it’s probably a VPX issue more than this table… So I’m happy if you can fix the cross seams. :)

I’ve circled the issues I’m having with red. This is something I’m experiencing only here. Not on any other tables and not anywhere else on this table:

July 23, 2018 at 3:53 pm in reply to: Metallica Premium Monsters (Stern 2013) mod of many other mods + Fast Flips #93276Thanks for the update Haunt. The table is almost perfect, but there’s still something odd going on with the grave cross (or is it just me?): it’s texture seams look transparent and they flicker when the cross moves. Also, I like to have the hammer set to non visible (I just don’t like the looks of it, even in the real table) so the ball under it is visible. Can I make it not roll and move about constantly? Sparky is also twitching a bit all the time. I wonder if physics could be tweaked so that both the ball and Sparky would keep still when nothing touches them?
Sorry to nitpick small details, but this is one of my favorite tables and I really would love it to be perfect.

July 16, 2018 at 2:31 am in reply to: Metallica Premium Monsters (Stern 2013) mod of many other mods + Fast Flips #92212Great table, thanks HF!
I’ve found few small issues:
When graveyard cross rises, it goes through the plastic on the right. Also, it seems like texture seams on top part of the cross are transparent and the plastics and lights behind it shows through. This might be visible only if the graveyard arc is disabled.
Also, isn’t Sparky a bit too much in the darkess? If I remember correctly, there should be a spot light or 2 illuminating him? (could be I remember wrong though)
Thanks for doing this, friend. :)

I think I prefer the field of view settings of 1.31. Too bad they are not combatible with the new version. I also find the old sound mix better (more mechanical noise!) Or am I just being paranoid? :)

The ball shadow has something fishy going on.. some times it seems like the ball shadow looks brighter than the surroundings?

I have a problem with DMD. I’m playing with a single screen setup where my computer screen in in portrait mode. The DMD is default upside down and setting ROL to 1 only rotates it 90 degrees. How can I rotate it 180 degrees? HALP! :)

I don’t have DMD at all. It’ not created at all, so it’s not drawm behind the table and it can’t be alt-tabbed. All other tables work fine. Any ideas? Thanks!
