I can only speak for pinbally as it’s the frontend I use. Setup is global for all games. The topper is set to keep running when a game is launched. I use 600 height for the topper and 480 for the dmd.

Either will work. If you have a 16 9 dmd screen you can split it and use it for both dmd and topper.

Thank you for bringing this table to vpx. A very pleasant surprise from the team of Goldchicco and 32assassin. Big thanks to mfuegemann for the vp9 version and thank you to everyone else involved.

Hit alt tab when table is running to see if dmd is running hidden somewhere. If it’s not running hit F1 make sure show dmd is checked.

Limited edition in real life. Xmen had a Wolverine LE and a Magneto LE. The table here can be switched to either via the script.
With acdc it may work the way you are doing it but the proper way would be to use the newer acd_170h rom with the table. Typically you will find the most up to date version of a table here but there is newer version 1.5 of the table over at vpuniverse. That one may already be using the acd_170h rom. I’m not quite sure. Ninuzzu has most of his tables up to date over there. Sadly he is no longer around.

LE = limited edition
The pup pack folder is named for the rom that the table uses. Open the table in the editor and click on the script. Look for cgamename and it will show what rom the table is using.

Fantastic job on this. Running 3 screens with full lcd dmd. Looks and plays awesome. Definitely be logging some time on this. I played the real table a few times at a bowling alley near me. It’s been awhile since I played it but I dont notice much difference between this and the real. I hope to see more releases from you and your team.

It’s just a matter of having your screenres file setup properly. If your worried about screwing something up take a picture of your current settings before changing anything. Open up screenres.txt and follow outhere’s guide. Edit as necessary and save. Open table to see if it shows. I had to mess with mine a bit but I got it going.

Tables based on real pinball machines that use roms will use the vpinmame dmd. Freezy provides a dll that can be used as an alternative to vpinmame. It will give you a better looking dmd and the ability to use color dmd. You can have both and select one or the other by pressing F1 when a table is running. You can also select one to be used by default in vpinmame setup.
With some tables using a certain b2s you will get a built in dmd with graphics if you are setup correctly.

Ultradmd is used on original tables that aren’t rom based to provide a dmd if the author chose to do so. Flexdmd is better optimized and is a replacement for ultradmd.
Pupdmd is a newer one used on some tables running pinup system.
If you need more info on any best is to read up on them separately.

It depends on what your looking to play. Newer SS tables will be more resource hungry than older em tables. You dont need a super powerful pc to run vpx but you will want a decent video card. Get the best you can afford. You can change settings in vpx to better match up with your system and get games to play good. I myself like to stick with intel and nvidia.

You need to get into the pinmame settings. Hit F1 when a table is running to access per table settings or you can setup default options for each table that isn’t setup yet by going into the vpinmame directory and running setup. From there you can turn off dmd and select cabinet mode.
