Just before I wanted to uninstall FP again, I got a hunch. The Asus GTX2070 I have came with a program called GPUTweakII. That program has an option called gaming mode/booster. After running GPUTweakII, wich stopped 19! system services, I started FPLoader, without administator rights, and hooray it works.
I have seen some messages in the VPnation group from people who encountered the same problems. Therefore, this link where GPUTweakII can be downloaded for free.https://www.asus.com/supportonly/GPUTweak%20II/HelpDesk_Download/
I tested it on my laptop with a built-in Nvidea GTX850. The program ran fine on that too. I do not know if it works for AMD as well, I do not have one.

August 18, 2020 at 6:50 am in reply to: Future Pinball and BAM Mega-Guide by TerryRed (DOF, PUP, SSF, VR and Front-Ends) #196583I did the new install again and noted every step I took, unfortunately I failed ☹
· Uninstalled previous install of Future Pinball
· Deleted all registry keys Future Pinball
· Deleted previous install map from drive D:
· Made new empty map on drive D: named FP
· Reboot computer
· Open FP/BAM Mega guide
Step 1
– Video Card drivers RTX2070 are up to date
– Checked if VisuallC++ 2015-2019 (x64) and (x86) are installed
– Screens (3) layout and dpi are ok
Step 2
– Downloaded 2-in-1 installer from Ravarcades website
– Unblocked FP-Bam-setup.exe
– Execute installer
– Changed install directory to: D:\FP\Future Pinball then pressed “next”
– Made no changes in field Select Components –> next
– Left shortcut as mentioned –> next
– Create a desktop shortcut = yes –> next
– Installing…………
– Install is ready. Left launch BAM ticked –> next
– No respond
– Opened install location and set FPLoader.exe to run as administrator
– Double click on FPloader.exe
– No respond
– Checked Taskmanager, FP or Bam not active
– Computer restart
– Double click BAM shortcut on desktop
– No respond
– Found crash report in BAM folder (see attachment)
Computer specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 9700K,
GPU: ASUS ROG-STRIX-RTX2070-O8G
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB
MBD: Gigabyte Z390 UD
I really hope someone have some ideas what to do because the new tables look awesome

August 18, 2020 at 1:36 am in reply to: Future Pinball and BAM Mega-Guide by TerryRed (DOF, PUP, SSF, VR and Front-Ends) #196571Thanks for your reaction and sorry for the misunderstanding. I think because English is not my native speech, i’m Dutch, i didn’t write it down good enough. I did NOT run FuturePinball.exe ever. What i was trying to say in point 6 is that until that point i didn’t start the program (via FPloader that is).
I am going to try again today. I follow your guide, as i did yesterday. I wil also make notes of every step i make and post here.

August 17, 2020 at 2:18 pm in reply to: Future Pinball and BAM Mega-Guide by TerryRed (DOF, PUP, SSF, VR and Front-Ends) #1964951.First i installed Visuall Studio (it probably already was installed, but just to be sure).
2.Then I used Ravarcade’s 2 in 1 installer to install FP. Did no update because it is latest version.
3. Then i put your “BAM – Default.cfg and Settings Files in the BAM-folder.
4. Installed your “POV-files”
5. executed your registry settings.
6. I have not run FPloader until this stage, now i had to launch it because the editor settings have to be set. and it started!
7.Set the editor settings as shown in picture (all blancs)
8.Then went on for de Video/rendering options. Here i noticed i had choices for monitor numbers 6,7,and 8 and no 1,2 and 3.
9. I decided to close FP and and reboot the computer. After the reboot executing Fploader didn’t work anymore, no FP-logo nothing. Setting Fploader to run as admin also did not help.
The only thing different from your guide is that i install on drive D:
I,m going to try again tomorrow, i will not give up!

August 17, 2020 at 3:16 am in reply to: Future Pinball and BAM Mega-Guide by TerryRed (DOF, PUP, SSF, VR and Front-Ends) #196395Hello guys,
Your Starwars release looks so good that i’m trying to get Future Pinball going again. I watched your videos more than once and follow your Mega-guide by the letter. When i came to step 8 and wanted to do the monitor settings for my cab the pull-down menu showed monitors #6 #7 and #8. I figure this can,t be right. I decided to quit FP and restart the computer. After the restart FP refuses to run. Setting to “run as admin” also didn’t help. I have included the crash file, really hope you are able to help me.
P.S.
I know you say we must NOT use compatibility modes, but when in mode “windows 8” at least the program starts up. Don,t know about tables yet.
Edit: Tables do not run in windows 8, as if you had apparently expected.

How and from where the ball ended in the apron, please help me with issues being more specifics. Where during nudging or just coming down the left ramp?? More details will help me found and focus on the problem immediately . Thank you in advance
I don,t know exactly because it happened real fast during game-play and I suddenly lost the ball. After looking for it I found it on the apron. As far as I can recall the ball came from the top of the playfield towards the left flipper or one of the 2 left outlanes. Is there an SSF sound in this table if the bal hits the playfieldglas? I haired something like that. Sorry I can’t help you more precisely.

Thanks to all authors, plays great and as fast as a train to. I only could not lift my cabinet high enough without tilt to get the ball on the play-field again.

May 6, 2020 at 5:44 am in reply to: Future Pinball and BAM Mega-Guide by TerryRed (DOF, PUP, SSF, VR and Front-Ends) #178064Thanks for the new tutorial Terry. I had problems with FP, crashing all the time while loading a table, and decided to do a complete new install following your “existential” video’s. Unfortunately that didn’t solve it.
But now with this new guide i have it up and running again! Thanks again!

Thanks for the cool table.
Keep in mind i’m a bit of a newbie, but for those newbs like me that are running a similar setup that cannot get the oversized virtual dmd to work, here’s what I did.
I’m running a 3-screen setup, with DMD and topper on one monitor. Similar to what I think TerryRed has on his table videos, which has the backglass with a 3rd monitor below that has topper with dmd below.
My dmd locations are pulling from the global coordinates assigned in DmdDevice.ini, rather than the windows registries for each rom. For this one I chose to move the DMD to the topper screen, which is taller on my system. I did so by adding the following to the DmdDevice.ini (obviously adjust for your systems coordinates). This works for baywatch as well if you make another entry the same.
[frankst]
pindmd2 enabled = false
virtualdmd enabled = true
virtualdmd left = 5760
virtualdmd top = 50
virtualdmd width = 1280
There’s probably some brilliant other way to do this, so punch me later.
Thanks hoop22, i was looking for a way to move the DMD to the topper screen and this really helped me out!
Of course also thanks to the team that made this supercool table!
