Deleted the .res file and swapped the b2s for v4, works perfect now! Thanks for the update. Just in time to break in a new computer too :)

Just a reminder/heads up for Cup fans, Scottacus is well into his homebrew build of this table. Head over to pinside and check it out. Unbelievable. But get in line behind me – – I asked first about putting a deposit down for a pre-order.
Holy crap he’s given me new inspiration. I wish that cobrapin board could interface with VPM through DOF like the LEDWiz though, that looks like a godsend

Cool stuff. Weird stuff with that b2s but I sorted it out after reading the thread.

The backglass image doesn’t fill the backglass (horizontally)
I also seem to be missing something fundamentally in the way that FSS tables are designed – why does the display have to be in portrait? This limits the tables you can have in your set up to only FSS tables it seems, without manually adjusting layback on all FS tables to rotate 90 degrees. This is more of a thinking out loud thing than a question, I don’t expect it to change, I just don’t understand it

Sounds like the host asked one of those “so what do you do?” questions and this contestant named Jim said he builds virtual pinball stuff? If someone gets a clip please post it.

But now I bet it would have worked if I kept it on 2.39 and used the newest software and changed the key name to pin2dmd.key… huh. So complicated.

Sure, he has an account. @lucky1
Not checking this site very regularly though. 3 weeks since last. For the VPU being down. Heard rumors that Dazz is moving the site, so expect it to be down of some days. I’m able to retrieve his email, I’ll send you PM.
Got it thanks.
Yea Dazz will have it back up soon I’m sure. I just love searching google for these issues and all the support topics are on VPU and I’m sitting here like

Note : If you have a old key starting with # instead of a letter like E,N,X etc. you need to rename your keyfile to pin2dmd.key. ??
If all fails – ask Lucky1 I guess.
yea mine starts with a #
I renamed and it still fails activation, just updated the firmware to 4.07 to be safe
Wasn’t sure if lucky1 was active here, I know I can always find him on vpu but … :(
I can see on 4.07 it’s reporting my key starting with a D but when it was still on 2.39 it was showing #…

I last had Pin2dmd 2.39 on my cabinet, worked great. I’m going through a clean install now and have the dmd hooked up but am struggling to get it working. I finally got the driver installed, and I have my old activation key, but the new version of pin2dmd software doesn’t recognize the key, and if I use the backup files and put the key in the folder with the pin2dmd.exe, it doesn’t work either. The installation instruction don’t really explain the next step clearly, and since VPU is down I think all the helpful documentation is out of reach. Anyone able to help? Thanks!
Will this help — https://pin2dmd.com/installation/
It really only takes you up to activation. I have the install files and the *.key file in the same folder as the pin2dmd.exe – trying both the 32 bit version (no manual file activation) and 64bit version (manually select the *.key file) and neither seems to recognize the key. (Device activation failed!) is what the 64 bit version says. I know it’s a good activation key as it worked before and it’s directly from my backup, no other hardware changes, just a fresh install…

I love kooky carnival. I started work on one a long time ago, at the time I was simply thinking quarter game, and I think it can still work but someone better than I would have to be able to code it. My idea was a code to replicate a quarter falling down from vertical when the ball speed reached a certain point. The physics would behave more like a ball (because it would be a hidden ball) but at least visually it might accomplish something. I never got to the pivot ramps either, hadn’t consider how to make them function. As a man who loves collidable primitives, I would never consider having a collidable primitive…move. Sounds like nightmare fuel.

I see someone has started making b&w tables now!
I’d love to have HauntFreak’s TZ table, or at least the images to get them into the gumball corrected one. I think he did great work on that, if anyone has it please DM me!
