@bubba70 Did you end up figuring it out, as I’m running into the exact same problem you are right now. I”m running the same setup as well. teensy 3.2 on Octo2811. Works with Basic Test, but I get no feedback with any table. My LedWiz lights work, but my teensy ones do not.

April 17, 2020 at 5:25 pm in reply to: PinEvent: DOF, MX, PUP, SSF, PUPDMD for Future Pinball #173715OK, thank you for the confirmation that wouldn’t have been a cause for this issue.
I’m just at a loss as I’ve deleted everything (VPX, dmdext, FP, Popper) and started from scratch and I’m still having the same issue. After doing all that, what could be causing an issue like this to persist?

April 17, 2020 at 3:54 pm in reply to: PinEvent: DOF, MX, PUP, SSF, PUPDMD for Future Pinball #173707For some reason, after installing and updating files for PinEvent, the DMD no longer displays for all of my VPX tables. Both the Playfield and Backglass displays but the table still won’t run and then after I close the table the VPX window won’t close right away and after clicking the X several times it says VPX is no longer responding. Would anyone know where I might start to look to fix this issue?
PinEvent is a Future Pinball installation that has nothing to do with or has any impact on VPX, DOF, B2S server, PinMAME, dmdext, PuP or UltraDMD at all whatsoever.
It’s 4 vbs files in a Future Pinball folder and a BAM plug-in.
In fact PinEvent is extremely minimal compared to all the above components involved with VPX.
You will have to figure out what else you may have done in the process as installing PinEvent will have no affect on anything to do with VPX.
After further research I’ve narrowed it down to freezy for my VPX issue. If i uncheck the use external DMD (.dll) it works fine again, but if I run a table with that checked now, the DMD doesn’t show up and the playfield and backglass show but are frozen. Then once I quite that table VPX freezes up and becomes no responsive. So I noticed this happened after setting up PinEvent, which you state has nothing to do with VPX, but does the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 update you outlined update .NET? And does .NET have any impact on the DMDdevice.dll ?
Thanks in advance!

April 14, 2020 at 7:56 am in reply to: PinEvent: DOF, MX, PUP, SSF, PUPDMD for Future Pinball #172850For whatever reason, the scripts can’t be in the scripts folder for me,they have to be in the tables folder…this is what solved all my error messages. Also, I’m getting the tables and backglass with the videos, but no DMD. I’m running a 3 monitor setup.
That sounds like a setup issue with how you have Future Pinball installed. If you are running tables in their own sub folder that could be the issue.
If you are specific with:
- what your setup is (cabinet, 2 screen, LCD DMD, Full DMD, desktop, etc)
- what pup-pack option you tried
- what pupdmddrivertype you have set
- what table and pup-pack
…that would help narrow down your problem.
what your setup is (cabinet, 2 screen, LCD DMD, Full DMD, desktop, etc)
I have a cabinet with 3 screens.
what pup-pack option you tried
My apologies as I’m not sure what you mean by option. I did change the PinEvent_Profile = 2 if that is what you mean by option.
what pupdmddrivertype you have set
I updated the pupdmddrivertype = 2 for the Full DMD in Halloween table script
what table and pup-pack
I tried the Halloween Ultimate Pro – PinEvent DOF MX SSF PUPDMD PuP-Pack

April 13, 2020 at 6:35 pm in reply to: PinEvent: DOF, MX, PUP, SSF, PUPDMD for Future Pinball #172772When it says
go here and install EVERY version (x86 and x64, each year as well) of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019.:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloadsI’m not 100% sure what this means. You mention “each year as well”, is there a link for each year?
This is what I see:
Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019
Download the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019. The following updates are the latest supported Visual C++ redistributable packages for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019. Included is a baseline version of the Universal C Runtime see MSDN for details.
x86: vc_redist.x86.exe
x64: vc_redist.x64.exe
ARM64: vc_redist.arm64.exeThere are 4 links on that Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 and I installed the 64, the 86 and the ARM64 I think it was…I also clicked on the link Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 that had 3 options, and only one was free and then it wanted me to install 20+ some items like python, ASP.net, AZURE, Node.js and 15+ more
Do I need to install all 20 some of those tools/etc? And where are all the yeas you were referring to?

April 12, 2020 at 10:04 pm in reply to: PinEvent: DOF, MX, PUP, SSF, PUPDMD for Future Pinball #172451@coreduo0099 I really appreciate the help and I have tried going back through everything twice now and still receiving the same error. After trying to update it all twice, now all my FP talbles have errors. I guess it’s just not in the cards for me and I’m going to cut my losses.

April 11, 2020 at 7:41 pm in reply to: PinEvent: DOF, MX, PUP, SSF, PUPDMD for Future Pinball #172064I was wondering if you might be able to point me in the right direction as I followed the install instructions…and when I fired it up, I get Error on line 350 – Variable is undefined “pinmechevent”
Thank you,

October 10, 2019 at 11:54 am in reply to: Star Wars DSA (Ultimate Pro). TerryRed Lightsaber mod. Let it Glow..let it GLOW! #147615Sorry Terry, I’m new to FP tables and I’ve been directed to just drag those off the translite so I assumed that was the method for all FP tables. I’ll be sure to read all the details going forward.

October 10, 2019 at 8:47 am in reply to: Star Wars DSA (Ultimate Pro). TerryRed Lightsaber mod. Let it Glow..let it GLOW! #147578Thanks outhere, I’ve done all that and when I try to remove the dmd from the translite the playfield goes completely black. Makes me think we might not be able to remove it for this table. Sorry, I’m new to FP…and trying to get my footing with all the errors.

Hi @newtopinball, where did you get the 1.04 version? I’ve tried all 3 of the 1.4 versions ROMS, Slamtilt, and combined and they all have the same issue for me.

I’m having the same issue myself with the 1.4 combined version of the Jurassic Park table when launching from Pinup Popper. When I launch it from FPLoader it displays fine.

I think Tom makes some really good points to consider and it comes down to user preference and how you’ve setup your pinball internally. Always great to get others feedback so you can make the best choice for your situation. Can’t wait to see your final setup.

Great looking build so far…and I couldn’t agree with Thalamus any more about using leaf switches.
