      Looks really awesome !
Just a question, should the backglass also flash light in attract mode ?

I have an old version of the backglass, and that is flashing, and this backglass on starts flashing when a game is started

For wiring take the time. Its not that difficult,  if you made a scheme of the wiring what you want to accomplish.

First determ what you want to wire and use different colors of wires. Start for example with buttons and finish that.

Than do the next. The lights in the buttons for example.

After that do your toys. That was my approach, and I didn’t get in a spaghetti wire mess.

I hope you have a lot of wires length ordered !

You dont need that ammount of space or tools !

The backbox I build on my attic, just 9m2 in totall with an extra bed in it, arcade cabinet and a corner to have my workplace.

For the cabinet, only used a handsaw and a drill and a small electric saw for the coindoor.

Mostly build outside in the garden. I hade it done in 2 weeks. Moved it to my attic and did the rest over there.

On gamex site, I have my build progress with some pictures

          https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/22347-my-virtual-pinball-cabinet-build/

As I said. Im not handy with wood, but the electronic part was easy

You should do what Tom said.

I’m not very handy with wood, I have a small house and build the cabinet on my attic.  I really love the result.

I wired all myself, all is working, including coin door with their switches.

Just the fun that you build it yourself and can show what you accomplished.

Btw, why want to swap buttons, if you bought a complete cabinet ?

                Ok. Sorry mate.
It is so long ago I setup my led strips and matrix, so don’t much about it anymore.
I have a teensy 3.2 and to get it working I needed the TeensyStripController firmware on it.

                https://github.com/DirectOutput/TeensyStripController

But that properly something something else than your issue is.
Still…. If I look at your logs, it looks like  DOF has an issue to initialize the controller itself
So not sure what you step you missed

I’m totally not an expert in this, but your log file shows :

TeensyStripController LEDStripController updater thread could not connect to the controller. Thread will quit.

So looks like something not configured correctly, or not setup correctly.

Is your cabinet.xml setup correctly ? Thats the place where you put the portname in

Did you flash the correct firmware for Teensy ?

I don”t remember where, but i already answer this question, as you can read in the IPDB, this table is last game produced by Sega, production continued by Stern Pinball as Stern’s 1999 ‘Harley-Davidson® (1st Edition)’.

My Table is the 3rd Edition, so is Stern as you can also see on the DMD when you launch the table, but legend was that people know this table as SEGA.

                    https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4453

Ah sorry. Missed it that you already answered it. I have a big backlog with updating tables, and if you put a table that plays good, I only add 1 a day :P
Thanks for you reply and I will save it as stern 3rd edition (and use Stefanus his B2s)
Thanks again mate and keep up the good work  !

(btw.. don’t forgot to add the authors field in VP, i filter on that fields your tables, but lately you won’t fill it in )

I’m a little confused. V1.1 is called stern, and V1.2 is called from Sega>
But the rom in v1.2 is harl_a30 (thats the Stern rom ) and not the harl_a13 (Sega rom)
Are the Stern and Sega exactly the same and only the rom is different ?

But .. table play fantastic ! Good job again !

Im not good with wood too, but I managed to build my own cabinet.  Maybe just a wooden frame from an old cabinett or the frame from virtuapin will do it.

I made a mistake the build a normall body. So only a 40″  can be in it. There are a few vendors that still has 40″ 4k tv’s.

Panasonic has a new tv (hx800) , but 43″ 4k monitors with a refresh rate of 100hz and higher are available.

I have some solenoids as well, but also have all the hardware for ssf bought , but didn’t assembled it yet

Thalamus can tell you all about ssf !

So all up to you what you wants

Just curious: “This table took a GREAT amount of time”. How many hours/days should I think of ?

I never build a vpx table, and think I will never can do it. But the people who release tables are like artists to me.

So as of August 2020, I see VirtuaPin is it appears as a US Supplier that has the Vishay and the PIn2DMD displays. the Version 3 is $269, the Vishay is $199 plus you need a 80v/100v Transformer, Piggyback Board, and PinDMD Driver Board. it says and appears the driver board is nothing they sell. So that may make that a hard sell, but people have appeared to have a hard time getting the Pin2DMD to work, but it seems like its sorta baked into the software. I am looking for an easy solution to have a nice DMD for playing tables like Addams Family, Twilight zone, High-Speed II, Jurassic Park, these are my childhood tables I spent hours playing… Color is less important to me, but ease of setup as I am one who lacks programming skills. and would like to be in under $300 shipped. What is your recommendation for ease of set up and fill put a smile on my face.

This is far off topic, but I have the pindmdv3 and didn’t regret it.

Works like a charm. Just connect , add freezy’s dlls (little 1 time configuration) and working.

And colours makes those tables much more fun to play

@scutters did mostly all the work for this release.
He had the idea of using the google sheet from Dux Retro and add it to the IPDB list for the original tables and to do a check if a newer version was available.
Thanks mate for this wonderful release.

Please, if you download the program and you like it, please give as a 5 star rate on the download page.
this will give me and @scutters the satisfaction of users that like our work    .

If you don’t know how to run individual commands, dont use p-roc.

Not saying because you would not known, but from own experience.  Last year , I needed to reinstall p-roc (for only 2 tables I have). I wanted all installed in c:\pinball\proc directory. It cost me almost 2 weeks, to modify the batch files and the python scripts.

During installation  it also wants to download some additional files, but the url wasn’t working at the moment.

So.. lot of issues for a few tables
