This table makes me feel kinda funny. Like when we used to climb the ropes in gym class.

January 12, 2020 at 4:18 pm in reply to: Lesser known features of VPinMAME – alternate soundtrack remixes #158313Hey guys! Thanks for the script to launch pinsound with the table. It will be a nice convenience once I figure out a small issue. The problem I’m having now is pinsound always launches maximized and in front of the playfield. Is there a way I can force the playfield to the front or the pinsound window to the back behind the playfield? I’ve never been able to get it to fire up in a small window.

November 10, 2019 at 7:36 am in reply to: Metallica Premium Monsters (Stern 2013) mod of many other mods + Fast Flips #150728You have to update your dof config file to the correct rom. There is a drop down menu to choose it. I had the same issue and now it works great.

Hz refers to the screen refresh rate per second. A 120hz monitor has smoother motion. They just started making large computer monitors that do 120hz.

Yeah it was just over $300 when I bought mine. It’s pretty cheap for a decent screen. Compared to the 43″ Samsung 1080p I had before was night and day. I had no idea there would be such a drastic difference until I got it up and running. My 1080p screen looks like total dung in comparison. Thanks to that sick ass fastflips code breakthrough, there is no reason to not go 4k in my opinion.

I have the samsung nu6900 series and have been very happy with it for the price. It runs 60hz @4k and has a game mode to reduce lag. I’m about to upgrade to the asus xg438q when it is available but that is mostly to get 120hz

Yeah go with the 43″ man. 49″ will look way out of proportion. I dislike when the tables look stretched so I usually delete the side rails and have some black space on the sides to make it more realistic proportions like thalamus suggested. He’s right that the 43 still makes real pins look tiny.

I’m getting the rom errors when launching 1942, 1943 as well as a bunch of other games. It says it is missing files. I can run them in mame just fine but when I launch though pinup I get the errors.
Certain games like Altered Beast or Contra run fine when launched from the pinup menu, but there are 40 or 50 games in my personal favorite collection that will not load from the pinup menu, no matter if I use Mameui64 or Mameuifx64.
I would love to figure this out as its driving me nuts!

October 20, 2019 at 6:40 pm in reply to: Need some help getting certain Mame titles running in pinup #148528As far as I know yes. I am able to play many of my favorite games through Pinup (which is up to date if its important to know). They also close out as they should when I exit the game. Altered Beast will boot right up, but 1943 or 720 are a couple examples of roms that will throw errors. I’d love to figure this out as I’ve been wanting to organize this stuff for awhile now.
Or perhaps some kind soul who has a properly working setup might be willing to share their mame folder (minus the roms of course) with me privately? Can’t hurt to ask!

I could be wrong, but I believe you can solve that by pressing f1 and checking “skip startup test”. I got that error before as well.

You can shut it down in popper. You have to assign a button to get to the system menu. You will see an option to shut it down there.

Hey Rich! I’m curious to know how you got your led matrix wired. I ran mine in one direction like yours and want to inject power every strip. There is a great diagram that shows what to do when you run it in the s-pattern, but none that explain this way. The leds were much easier to line up going one direction. Any way you might be able to help explain what you did so I might bite off of it? Thanks man!
