March 8, 2019 at 3:39 am in reply to: Tales of the Arabian Nights (Williams 1996) Skitso's Detail MOD #117115Hello world,
I do love this table, it is one of my favorite vpx-tables on my pincab
One thing only: the brightness of the upper playfield seems to be to low imho. The genie and the whole playfield in that area looks like as if the GI ha quit its job.
Is this an adjustable thing I just did not find (I am not a great vpx creator, just a player)?
Or is it a default and ok? According to the preview pic this seems to be normal.
Thanks for some input.
Kind regards.

Hi everyone,
since I’d love to give this beautiful! table with my childhood heroes theme a spin I also found myself struggling with this:
“Script Error
Line: 43
Game name not found”
I updated to the 10.6 beta build 3592 and added the accordingly named tomjerry rom to the designated rom folder but still.
The sound files are also put in place.
Maybe someone can give me a little push on this one?
EDIT: Yes, the community can help
.
It always helps to read the previous posts line by line and really understand whats written thereĀ
I always read that there needs to be an update for PinMAME but somehow I just updated VPX.
After downloading the latest beta atĀ “vpforums.org” the table started and now excuse me, gotta play a bit
Thanks to Watacaractr !!!

December 17, 2018 at 2:44 am in reply to: Recording tool – manual and auto only records first table in playlist #106941Hi,
the recording tool is working better now, since I understood that I better end the complete session by executing the corresponding .bat file after the tool has finished all jobs and has been closed.
Since then the recoding tool only records the choosen tables.
I’m pretty sure that this is somewhere mentioned in the wiki but there is a good chance that I did not read or understood it correctlyĀ
.
Have a nice holiday season!

If you are not running the āunifiedā dof ā then I think you should give that a chance.Ā
I’ll take a look at it.
Thanks!

Thanks a ton for your help on this one.
I just set the value to “false” for now, not a real problem for me.
Kind regards!

Hardware
Control board: PinControl 2
Toys (not much yet): 8 Siemens 24V contactors, 5 5V LED illuminated buttons, 1 5V beacon light
The test result:
Oddly enough now with the value set back to “true” it still works even after exiting 3 tables
.
The dof lights came back after about 3-4 seconds.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi NailBuster,
thank you so much!Ā Setting the vaule to “false” did the trick!
You want me to send a certain file to take a look at it?

October 13, 2018 at 9:28 am in reply to: Keystroke sometimes leads to "beep" sound from Windows #100890Ok, just a quick update.
There seems to be an issue with the “Left Shift” and “Right Shift” keys!
I assigned them like the default configuration in VPX 10.5. Which is a must since the PinControl board inevitably expects these keys to be flipper left and right
I figured out that when assigning the “Game Next” and “Game Prior” buttons in PinUp to let’s sayĀ “Left CTRL” and “Right CTRL” – that are assigned to left and right Magnasave in VPX -, no more beeps till now!
The only “trouble” this causes is that I need to chose the game in the front end with my Magnasave buttons instead of the Flipper buttons.
But that is ok with me as long it causes no beepsĀ

Sticky keys was and still is disabled.
The USB power saving setting is now deactivated, I’ll try that. But will Windows power down a device that is used at the same time (PinControl in this case)?
Kind regads

Hi und thanks a ton for this excellent front end system
!
It works pretty flawless here and I really enjoy the arcade atmosphere it adds to my diy vpin.
May I askĀ three little quenstions?
- How do I edit the font, its size and its colour that is shown on the backglass?
- Is it a featured behavior that when exiting a tableĀ PinUp Popper switches to the next table in the playlist on its own?
- Sometimes PinUp Popper confuses media files when two tables share an almost identical name (e.g. “TableXXX-Mod” and “TableXXX-Mod2”). Suddenly a wheel image used for table 1 is also shown for table 2 etc. Any tips here that help PinUp Popper to associate the right media files better?
I appreciate any help and now I’m going to enjoy a little gameĀ
