I know I commented last night on how nice this table is, but I wanted to comment again. I’ve been playing it for a couple of hours tonight. The ray traced lighting is so beautiful, and along with the rich sounds it makes the table really addictive.

What a beautiful reproduction. The graphics and lighting are stunning and the table feels so real when playing it. The new sounds contribute a lot towards producing that authentic feeling as well. Thanks for this gem!

This is one of my favorite tables, and the backglass looks great. Thank you!

Drawing of characters in lower center of original’s playfield are based on characters from the movie (John Goodman as Fred, etc.); Modified version shows the cartoon characters instead in this area.

Is any of the information from this page useful?

The first post mentions that “solenoid 4 controls the skull flasher”. I have no idea what that means since I don’t know this game.
Also, in the 2nd picture of the first post, there is a section of a schematic that shows the solenoid 4 and 7 signals in the bottom left corner. They seem to be used in the circuitry for the “left ball gate”, “right ball gate”, and “skull jaw relay” signals. I have no idea if that is of any help.

Thanks NailBuster. That fixed it! I’m really grateful for the help.

Hi NailBuster,
This is an edit of my previous post…
If I understand correctly, you are suggesting that I add the line “FadeoutLoading=0” to the Custom Options pane in the script tab of the Popper Setup GlobalConfig options. I just tried this but it didn’t fix the issue.
For what it is worth, I just discovered that this issue exists when I launch a game from pinup menu, as well as when I use pinup popper auto record. So, I am no longer able to use pinup popper as a front end unless I can figure out how to fix this. That is, I can’t load and play a game with this as my front end since the loading animation always covers the playfield.
BTW – I really love pinup popper as my front end.

I also have the 1.1 version. I think I got it from VP Forums in January. Maybe this is just a case of the update now being pushed to this site as well.

I don’t have a topper, and so I have never bothered looking at the topper videos posted here before. But out of curiosity, I kind of randomly decided to look at this one. It blew me away. It is really, really nice. It makes me want to reconsider adding a topper.

Hi Knorr and Clark,
Thank you for the update with the goalie fix. I just downloaded and gave it a quick try. I’m going to keep playing. But I thought I better thank you before I get too absorbed into the game play, because I know once I am playing, I’m not going to want to quit.

Thanks Knorr.
I am just amazed at the quality of this table. If feels so authentic. I know that creating something like this takes a ton of work. I have over 300 tables on my cabinet, and I love them all. But the masterpieces like this one, where countless hours have been put in to making such a work of art that is near perfect in every detail, are the tables I keep coming back to play again and again.

This table is an incredible masterpiece. What a beauty. The earlier version of this table from the Monster Bash site (Alessio?) has always been my favorite Visual Pinball table, and when I saw the work in progress thread here, I couldn’t wait for it to be done. I’ve been checking the site every day (sometimes multiple times a day) since then to see if there were any progress updates.
When I saw the table was released this morning, I downloaded it and played a bunch of games before work. I was late to work as a result, but it was well worth it. What a beauty. It looks and feels so real.
I did notice one oddity when I was playing, but wasn’t sure at first if I was correct in what I thought. But it appeared that at times the ball will go through the goalie and into the goal, rather than bounce off. This was kind of a rare thing, it didn’t happen that often.
Now I’m on my lunch hour at work, and I’ve been looking at You Tube while at my desk. There is already a video of this table from “World of VPX”
It seems to show the same thing with a shot at the 15 second mark into the video. I’ve captured a screen shot from the video right before the ball goes into the net and it looks like the ball should have been blocked by the goalie instead.
Anyway, thanks for the great table. I can’t wait to get home tonight and play this more. Its going to give me endless hours of fun. I already know this will likely be my most played table over the next year.

Wow, I got to say that you can sure tell that the backglass art is from a different time. A blonde woman tied up with her boobs hanging out and her jeans almost torn to shreds while a Native American is winking, smiling, and giving the thumbs up would be unimaginable today. I’m going to pass on this one. No offense to the authors is intended whatsoever, but the backglass art is just too uncomfortable for me. (Would love to put the table on my cabinet if it had a different backglass).

This backglass and the table are beautiful. I plaid for several hours last night.
I do have one question on the backglass… I see a small mini-image of the backglass kind of superimposed over the real backglass. It appears in the upper left corner, as you can see in the attachment. It seems to be a separate window that I can see when I use ALT-TAB to cycle through the various open windows on my computer. The window’s title is “formDMD”. I’ve never seen this on other tables. Is this something that I can remove somehow?
EDIT: Never mind. I think I just figured it out. In my screenres.txt file, I had the X location of the DMD set to 1. (I seem to remember reading somewhere that this needed to be a 1 if using a real DMD, and I am using a PinDMD v3.) Anyway, I just changed the setting to 0 instead of 1, and the DMD image disappeared. Setting it to zero didn’t seem to affect any other tables in a bad way.
