Oh yes! Looks great guys! I did the original meshes to the PF I had so yeah if it’s been redone the meshes would have been all over the place lol sorry about that. As you also know the original textures were also a mockup but you’ve nailed it!! Great work. ????

- This table did require a couple of months of late nights but all worth it if you guys are enjoying it. Rob has done an amazing job on the code and created some really great solutions to problems the common man like myself would not understand! Also always been a lover of Bords plastics so getting him to do that for this one was a treat!! Enjoy!

Lots of work done, not so much left to do :D . Unless we see a game breaker on this, we should be ready to go very soon does anyone here have a low powered pc for their cabs? We would like a benchmark test. @DJRobX

This really is being over complicated. Creating the plastics can be done in VPX easily using simple walls and then exporting the blueprint and finished in photoshop (that’s if you don’t want to texture the meshes using external software). I have edited all the plastics that i managed to get from the internet so they are ready to go. The textures that were already on the table are rendered from perspective as you know so the UV’s will be for that and if you’re not using the same method as me will most likely be useless.
If you did want to bake the textures in 3rd party software there are 25 pieces that will need doing, the rest are parts that can be textured using vpx materials (minus the ramps, i would use the flupper method)
The only folders that are needed for both these methods are “Textures Main” and “Table Models”
The Playfield is an image lifted from PBA, they take pictures not scans so any shadows are because of that and shouldn’t be a problem.
Hope this helps.

Hey everyone, sorry! I should come over to this thread more often. To answer a few questions that I’ve seen: All textures that I have used are in a file in the Dropbox, the main files to use are Cinema 4d files. I seem to be the only one in the vpinball community that uses C4D so I’m going to try and convert the files with textures for you. Please let me know what software you guys are using and hopefully I can get the files sorted. Once that is done you should be able to render the new textures either flat or from perspective I know it works well in 3ds and I’ve had some good results from blender. The UV map will most likely not carry over as this tables assets are rendered from a fixed perspective (the best way to describe this is like a picture being projected from a projector over an object, if you look at it from a different angle it won’t make sense but from where you’re standing behind the projector it will cover only what you can see from that angle. This makes the UV map basically a flat image with no unwrapping involved). Regards to asking permission for people getting involved, anyone who wants to get this project through can join! As long as everybody involved are credited :)
I’ll keep chucking back so ask me any questions, also let me know what software everyone is using.

Sorry for the neglect everyone, life got in the way of this project but I’m happy it’s in the hands of a bigger team now, all the 3d models are already there, they were extracted from PBA but were very bad quality so we’re recreated by me. Dark has a Frank model which I think would be perfect to use. The textures are projected from a perspective to look as close to real as possible if the team are struggling with this let me know and I’ll join back onto the team to get this done :)

Using a new technique we have managed to get the table into VPX looking pretty good :) (Few plastics missing)

Looks great! Thanks for all the hard work I know went in to this, I look forward to giving it a try.
Nice to see more people making use of my aprons, a good indicator that they are well received I think, you customized material on it nicely to fit your table.
If I’m not mistaken the r2 model is a re-worked version of mine from the vp9 version, I recognize the decal scans. :P
Hey Dark, Thanks for the compliments and thanks for the Apron It’s a great asset to use. The R2D2 textures were made from an ebay listing lol, someone added a high(ish) quality image which in my opinion is a very stupid idea when you’re trying to sell a print . I wanted to make the main assets myself as it would feel like cheating in a way. All I did was straighten the image up and vectorise it/touch it up.

Can’t wait to see if this works on my Win XP Cab. I had trouble with some tables whilst I wasn’t using Beta 10.5. Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed , this version does require the latest beta.Â
