I finished going thru all my tables in the VR directory, I found another 52 that need to be added.
Should I use the 3.23 version to make the updates or do you have a newer one coming out?
I found a problem with the WOZ table I had to remove the original, 2018 from the include quotes to get it to work.

You can give me just the name (manufacturer year) or even better:
Grab version 3.22 (? fixed – was an utf-8 encoding problem) and include the missing 18 tables in the array and post the tablearray here. So i can include the array. Thanks.
You mean save the modified VPX file and attach it to a reply? I’ll have to Zip it!
I just tried it and it’s to large for an attachment. ( I used your v3.22 for the edit)

Nanuk,
I used to edit the launcherVPX file when the launcher was first released. I found you had to be very careful with the syntax in the table array or you have problems with using it afterwards. If you download a new launcher update zip and install it, you have to redo all your previous changes on the new file, as well as additional changes for any new unrecognized tables you have added. So it’s better to just rename the table’s filename to match the arrays naming so it will pick it up.
If you wait until you have 10 or more new tables to add like I do, theirs the issue of recognizing which one of them don’t match the table array. You just have to start the launcher and check if every table you added shows up in the launcher. Then edit it’s filename name to match what’s in the array. You have to load the launcher vpx file in a non VR version of VPX to load the script and see the table array, or print the table array for reference.
I wish the launcher would just load all tables in the working directory, then just use the array to match artwork that does match. then at least you wouldn’t have to deal with table naming.

thx ill try that
Wouldn’t it be best for everyone if you report missing tables and then make them available to everyone in the future?
And if you’re nice enough to create the graphics for the table preview, then everything would be perfect.
I have been going thru my Table directory and comparing it to a printout of the VPLauncher table array. I have over 400 tables, VRROOM, FSS, and Standard VPX with Db2s backglasses. Some are duplicate tables ( filter is off) of the various versions. I’ve been thru the A-G’s so far and have found 18 table names missing from the array so far. When I submit the names what format would you prefer? A spreadsheet, or document file?
While I was comparing the names to the array, I also compared them to my actual filenames and made them match the array name syntax exactly.
I noticed that on tables that use apostrophes like cactus Jack’s you have a ? in the array name instead of the apostrophe. So on tables like CJ, BBBB, and GI, I had to Remove the apostrophes from the table names to get them to be recognized ( since ? is an illegal character for windows filenames). Are you trying to use the ? as a character wild card? If so it doesn’t seem to be working. Why not just put the apostrophes in the array name? You have a apostrophe on Going Nuts’ table by Gotlieb..
I tried making the Graphics sheet from the template, but haven’t figured out how to successfully do that yet.

Hey guys just downloaded the table, quick question. For some reason I don’t see the score displays? Is it something I have to set in the editor options?
I had to change the set VR in the scrit from False to True then the Displays worked!

Thanks for the VR ROOM version..
The Transporter on the backglass doesn’t show the crew. The Transporter works on the FSS version in VR. I looked in the script for a option. I’m I missing something?

Thanks for all your work!
Now with 3.x version, when I exit a table the currently selected table shown on the launcher menu goes back the the first A list table ( ACDC ), it used to go back to the table you just played. I see the last table played still listed in the registry. Can you set an option to have it go back to displaying the last table played?
Same thing with favorites it goes back to the regular menu selection, instead of staying in favorites until you turn it off.
Also I use reverse for key selection, and in favorites the pointer does not follow the reverse setting.

I upgraded from the auto loader to verson 3.11 last night. I had to go into the registry to make entries into the filter fields. When I press the coin1 key I get a popup with the filter list of OFF then the filters listed below it. However I can’t select them by pressing the coin1 key again to move thru the list and select the desired filter. IF I press the coin2 key the Favorites menus change and work by pressing the coin2 key repetitively so I expect the the filter key coin1 would work the same way.
Also can you use a wild card like * or ? in the filter selection?

Hi Rich, you can achieve this already by adding a (e.g.) „Ready_“ or „_hot_“ in the filename of finished tables. This phrase should go to the filter.Thanks @b4sti for the suggestion, not quite what I had in mind, this would require editing every table in the default directory with a common word to filter on. I was hoping to have a way that launcher would just read in all tables in the default directory without being dependent on table file name matching. then afterwards have it only use the file match for adding the artwork!

Could you add checkbox that would have the launcher import/read in all the tables in the default directory, and code it to just use the built-in game list to match artwork? This way all tables are displayed without having to compare the game list to the directory manually. It would simplify things for non technical user and display all tables in the launcher without manual intervention. And auto updates should still work? Possible?
Thanks
Rich

Sebastian just responded to a post I made on VPForums. He Said IE: Also for the build I uploaded, its ported to the latest 10.7beta, has some tweaks and bugfixes, but the commits from Djrobx and Rawnei on the github repository are still missing. I try to add them next week.

I just got an email notifying me that Sebastian just released an update to the 10.7 Version of VPVR on SourceForge. Are you working with him? Were your modifications/improvements ported to this new release?

I used to own this Pin and I always wondered how the upper prototype slingshot would be. I turned the option on in the top of the script and I love it keeps the ball active up there a while longer. Interesting that it seems to work with the regular ROM as well as the prototype ROM. Thanks for the update and it does look fantastic in VR as well!

Try pressing the Zero Key on the numeric section of your keyboard, this will position the playfield in front of you.

I like the addition of the full file name below the active table to differentiate duplicates in v2.9.
Since the AHK-scripts seem to trigger the antivirus flagging, and since your providing updates of the VPX file anyway. Why not just release a version of the VPX-VRLauncher that doesn’t auto update and we can just update the VPX file when released? I’m assuming that the AHK-scripts are only used for the auto update functionality. This would provide the time necessary if you were to need to re-code the projects exe with another development tool.
I really enjoy your front end for VR and can’t thank you enough for your time and expertise!

Since you checked and know the flagging is because of your code and not a Trojan, I went to windows 10 security/ Virus and Threat protection/protection history and was able to select the flagged file and told it to allow it, and it restored the file. It mentioned that the file allowed and attacker to modify my system.Anyway I had to recreate my desktop shortcut link, ran it and I’m now updated to version 2.9.RichDon’t change anything significant.
VB-Script is inside the vpx-table – that’s true.
Don’t know, what happend.
Can you please check some of the older releases, if it’s the same there?
Perhaps the autoupdate is now a problem for anitivirus.
It patches VB-Script code inside the vpx.
Update:
It looks like the exe (compiled autohotkey script) is now flagged by these tools.
I checked it with any of my AHK-scripts – all flagged.
Even without autoupdate!
To solve this, i need to recode the projects exe with another development tool.
Sorry, i’m far away from doing this.

I just turned on my CAB to play some VPX VR and Windows 10 defender flagged the version 2.5 VPX-VRlauncher.exe as a trojan:Win32/Zpevdo.B rated severe and removes the file.
Must be do to a Defender security update It’s been installed since you first released it and it never flagged it before.
Do you think it’s seeing your auto update code and mistaking it for a trojan?
If I use your latest 2.9 release will that stop the auto updating?

I always start steam then steamVR first. Also if you running Windows10- make sure your Windows updates have all run, some times when you first bootup they try to run in the background and the extra load can cause demanding apps like VR to crash.

So that’s what the hold on top checkbox is for! uncheck it to keep the settings window open to make changes then recheck it and restart!
Are you saying that my changing the exit time to 20 seconds in the script will keep my setup from updating?
