      The X Files (Sega 1997)

      The X Files from Sega 1997 for VP10.2 or higher (beta build 2774 or higher required). Complete rebuild starting with the VP9 version of the table from JPSalas, some script, audio and backdrop image remain, although everything else has been redone.

      Thanks to:
      Dark for creating the Alien and Flukeman models and textures and remapping the file cabinet model (originally from ROM’s model found in the FP table).
      Jim5Six for the all photos and playfield image.
      ICPJuggla for sharing his resources and testing.

                Look good on the cab, but I am getting a bit of the dreaded ball stutter. I’ve not seen that in a long time.

                It’s almost midnight here, so I will attack that tomorrow.

                      No preferred b2s. There isn’t much to the real one, just one big florescent light behind it. No flashing lights.   So whichever one you think has the best image I guess.  I don’t remember where I got the one I’m using, probably VPU if I had to guess.

                      This one runs lower FPS for me too. I don’t have a lot of stutter though, but I have my video settings turned down a bit. There are A LOT of big non-static primitives on this table.  If you can pin-point something that improves the performance, please let me know.

                                Here’s the wheel logo I just tweaked for myself if anyone wants it.  This is LoadedWeapon’s original wheel logo, I just took off the “night mod” and added the green glow to it.

                                  For some reason I keep getting this error when trying to use the flippers  – Line 312 variable is undefined – ‘DOFFlippers’. This is on a pc that I use at work. forcedisableb2s is a 1 and have disabled b2s in the options menu. What am I missing?  :unsure:

                                        That error is because you do not have the most recent script files from the VPX beta, or you have multiple copies of the script files.

                                        also,
                                        After a quick double-check I have found a couple primitives that somehow got set to collidable that should not have been, but changing them didn’t change the FPS for me.

                                            It’s running smooth for me… I did notice it’s a bit tough to stop the ball on the flipper when trapping the ball vs. other tables… is that a flipper friction thing?
