I just want to add to zebs post that I have one of his new revamped shaker motors and it is awesome! You can run other stuff off of the board as well. Worth every penny. I love how it hits when I damage the spaceship in attack from mars.
I’m going full tilt with my cab and have tons of parts stocked up for a rainy day, but if I had to be reasonable I would say get a light bar going behind the playfield. It’s probably the most drastic improvement to the cab. I have 5 domes and 2 strobes and it literally makes every table better visually. I personally like the domes in that spot for the more nostalgic look. If you don’t do anything else do this and I assure you that you won’t regret it.
Surround sound feedback is the first and foremost in my opinion as it is so versatile, but I have 12v solenoids and 24v contactors to install and will run both. Zeb has a solenoid watchdog board to complement his 24 input driver board that is meant to help safeguard against a solenoid or the knocker burning up if you go that route. If you are looking for simple go with his stuff. The parts are super easy to install and his support is excellent as well.
Just my .02

Got it! I did what you sadi nailbuster and it fired right up! Thanks for the help guys!
May I ask what exactly I need that for besides this? I’ve been using pinup for a year now and have never done that!

Thanks I will check it out tomorrow and report back. I appreciate the response. I am running the steam version and I copied nailbusters script. The tables launch and play but I get the error. I am otherwise able to run my dmd in the popper menu so I know I’m close to getting it.

Which part of freezy 1.7.2 do I need?

Yes I have been using the pinup frontend for awhile now. All of the vpx stuff works as it should, but I cant get the fx3 dmd to work. I’ve upgraded to the latest version and unzipped the pupdmdcontrol into my vpinmame folder. I’ve set my dmd size in fx3 to 520×136. I’ve changed the launch script. I keep seeing the posts so I decided to mess with it a bit. I’ve got a dmd3 if that matters.

Hi guys. I’m trying my best to get this working but I’m getting a “popper install not found” error. As far as I know I’m completely up to date. Can anybody offer me some insight into the solution to this? I would love to have a dmd screen on my fx3 games finally.

Would you mind sharing a shot of your table settings? I run i78086k gtx1080 windows 10 2 screens and a dmd3 so I guess it should function. I wanna tinker with it now.

When I run the uncompressed version it always says pinball missing. I assumed it was because I’m running a gtx1080 and not some new crazy card? I have a pretty new rig but it never does like that one. I’d love to play that one for obvious reasons.

No worries man! You’ve always been helpful to me. I do actually sometimes have multiple windows open when I’m messing around with stuff so I’m going to test your theory. It’s not a deal breaker either way because when I reload the table it works fine.

@thalamus I’m not sure if that’s a dig at me but I was only asking a simple question in context to the topic being discussed. I only thought to ask because I was reading the thread. Thanks for the explanation. I’m pretty sure I’m not running force exclusive fullscreen, but I will have to check later

While its being discussed, anybody have insight into why we sometimes get the compiler error? I get it occassionally as well. I just exit the table and reload it and it works fine, but just curious if there is a way to stop the error altogether.

But you are saying it will work and I will get the patterns? I’d love to do the 7 rows but I simply dont know that I really can. I might be able to squeeze a 6th row in but its tight.
Yes I am using 144m strips.

@doubleD It sounds like the settings are wrong on your setup. I had that same issue of playfields looking washed out when I first got my 4k. I figured out there were a couple settings that werent correct. I did get it dialed in and it looks fantastic. Is your playfield screen a Samsung?
@herweh I wanted to also say thank for the top notch work! I’m a big fan of your hurricane table as well!ÂYou need to login in order to like this post: click here

Wondering. Am I the only one that sees the lights like floating above the playfield ? I jumped back to 10.5 and found that it looked ok, but all the revisions I tried for 10.6 beta showed me this odd behaviour. Sorry about the bad pictures.
I just came on to post the same issue. The lights aren’t aligned with the tables. I’m using the latest vpx build. thanks for the effort and new table regardless!Â

This is incredible! The shit just got real! I already have the kinect 2, but wasn’t using FP since the jaws and motu conversions. I can’t wait to get this going!
