@Terry is there a way to change the menu BG from the default stars to a video and also say add audio separately?
So to have a theme PF like the BG has (not sure how they got there) FP and FX3 and VPX?

Old thread, but was wondering if this was incorporated?
Would like to have a video and say song pinball wizard playing as soon as popper opens. I know when I arrow the next game if it has sound will start and that is ok, just to have that start when untouched play a video and song.

I am dense. How would I launch when I in VPX and not have that screen on BG and then minimize when I press play?
I was not able to get Jaws to work either, but I know I missed something in the pinevent setup on that one.

Ok, when I closed and opened it worked second time. But backglass then went behind my windows screen. Is that a setting to bring to front? I have not changed anything in pinup/popper settings.
If you are playing on a single screen… then this is your only option to tr to get it to work.
I have two screens, does that change things?
In that case… no you dont need pup-packs on top…but you should not have any windows displaying on your Backglass when running anything vpin related as pup-pack layers will get pushed behind them. If you have a 16:9 backglass screen…keep in mind you may not see the DMD completely because of the bottom of the castle picture. You may need to edit that for your own usage.
Just seems odd that the few other pup packs I have play fine and don’t fall behind my open windows screen on my backglass.

Thought I had the rom but I guess I don’t. I cannot find it again and vpuniverse is offline.

The script for table shows 3 roms to choose from. I had only downloaded the last b version and table would not start. So I downloaded all 3 and have in roms folder and the pop up menu I selected the last one (b) and it does not work.
I am sure I am doing something simple wrong.

Download this file and unzip it in your VPinMame folder, Run the Setup.exe as administrator, Install you should be also set

I could not find the h version. Can you add the link to that rom? I find the 170 only. Must be missing something obvious.

Question – any reason the flippers would stick or not be reactive on my keyboard?

Tried loading and with the rom mtl_180h it does not start. I remove the h and it starts but the flippers stick.
What am I doing wrong?

I just downloaded this table and want to turn off the menu from popping up and I think I changed the 1 to 0 for that in script, but I cannot get the game to start. I hit S and I hear a ball that seems to be rolling around, but doesn’t show in plunger.
Thoughts?

So I took of the 180 on pinup player register and all still looked good.
I need to mess with these other loading videos and other arc videos to see if I can get those going.

Once you have Popper and the theme looking correct…
…. you can only have ONE size for your loading videos. So its either going to be the T-ARC sized loading videos… or fullscreen.
This theme is setup for TARC Loading videos… but if you want to change your Loading videos to be fullscreen:
- use the PuP-Pack Editor to edit the pinupmenu pup-pack
- change the Loading Screen’s CustomPos to 3,0,0,100,100
- disable the Transparency box
- now you need to install Loading Videos that are fullscreen for ALL your Playlists and for the HOME Playlist
- use Media Manager to either download Loading videos directly… or if you have Loading Videos on your computer then drag and drop them

I attempted to add them to the loading media manager box on that game (not playlist) and they showed up in the top rightish corner of PF. Plus that music played the same as the theme please wait sounds. So if this can even be done will need to try to turn off that sound please wait…

I have tried to follow these instructions and this is better, but still something seems to be cutting off the top and there is a gap in the bottom. Plus when I had this working in portrait mode just fine, the arc did not disappear after a few seconds, so not sure what that is.

You haven’t copied over the PinupMenu PuP-Pack into PUPVideos folder for this theme.
Also…your playfield video seems to be rotated by 180. Was that something you changed in Popper’s settings or in Windows?
You want your TV physically positioned so that the bottom of the TV is facing the left side (from your playing POV). Then your Windows Taskbar should be also on the left side (from your playing POV). This is the normal default landscape Windows setup… and will work with Popper, VPX, FP, FX3, etc without a bunch of effort needed to convert media or VPX tables. Tables and media will all just work (once setup correctly for each).
Then if you have installed PuP and Popper from scratch, and not changed anything for rotation… then installing a Landscape Popper theme will look correct when you are done, including the default playfield videos.
Dang I missed the copying into Pupvideos, thanks for that. Yes I rotated in a popper setup since my screen/tables were upside down. I do have my PF screen with the windows bar on the left from my POV. Was not sure why it ended that way, but that was the only way to make it work. Should have I done something different? Flip the TV? Will that cause me grief for future items? Like possibly recording screen, dmd and alike in popper recordings?
I may be having that with these PF loading videos as I cannot get them one full screen, but at least I have them oriented correctly :) small win. haha
