For texts on the matrix I used “The Getaway: High Speed II”.
I have a 48×8 matrix and noticed that the texts where not showing fine. The font that is used is 7 pixels height, so make sense that on a 8 leds height it didnt show fine. It looks like it has some shadows.
I modified the DirectOutputShapes.png and directoutputshapes.xml to a 8 fonts height
Original files (see the extra not completly filled leds)

You can also make specific system underlays.
PinballX –> Media -> System underalys
Name your png file per system you have and it will swap per system

Nice table !
played a bit with it, and good game play.
Even coin chutes in the menu. I’m impressed !(too bad it only got 2 values, and not that I use, but if I have time, I will make a bigger menu )
keep on the good work guys !

I still have a 40″ 60hz tv in my cabinet (normal body). Runs on 4k and noticed that on fast ball movements, the ball looks disappearing. No lag or frame drops, so wanted to look for a better monitor with higher hz, but all good tv’s are bigger than 40″ and monitors are not 16:9 anymore. Anyone has a good suggestion?

For the people who wants to have coin chutes in the F6 menu :
Here’s the modified script (just copy from zip file and overwrite the function in the script of the table)
OR .. The authors can add it to the next release (if there will be a next releaseAttachments:

Be aware that those small factor pc’s are created for showing videos on 4k. Not gaming at 4k.
My popcornhour media box can also play 4k video content, but to be used in a cabinet? I dont think so.

ver 2.0 just uploaded:
New saucer primitive
Saucer cup radius set at 35 for more realistic play
Script enhanced and added missing sound(s) thanks to Thalamaus
Added 2 missing rubbers
Added correct dipswitch to the script (thanks to Mike DA Spike)
If you want to change the Runs to Beat at 25 just launch the table press F6 and change the switches to 22-23 then press F3 to refresh. Done
Hey @goldchicco
You forgot 1 line in the script to copy :
Set vpmShowDips = GetRef(“editDips”)This will show my menu and you can select the runs to beat to whatever you choose from

Someone has the manual and can only send me the dipswich part, so I can add coin chute controls in the dipswitch menu ?
Thank you

@Mike DA Spike
Thank you for the dipswitch fix, I appreciate it and that’s what I am talking about – when the community stand together to make any release even better.
I am already working on ver 2.0 – it should be up within this weekend – and was thinking to set the runs to beat at 25 or 35, 50 seems really hard.
Of course I will correct the dipswitch in ver 2.0
Thanks again and stay tuned
No problem. The dip switches are the only part I know for a table how to add/change them (if I have the manual)
Glad I could helpYou need to login in order to like this post: click here

As promised, I created from the original manual the dipswitch menu for Grand Slam.
this is how it looks like :Attached is the zip file. Just replace it in the script (or maybe @goldchicco can add it in next release
)
If you want to change the ‘highscore feature’, or ‘highscore to date’, you must go into the self test menu.
Here are the settings as well (also in the zip file)‘Highscore feature :
Self test position: 16 / 17
Reply 3 3
Extra ball 2 2
Novelty 1 1
No award 0 0Highscore to date :
Self test position: 19
No Award 0
One Credit 1

Thanks iDigStuff
really like this.
Only have some issues to avoid the roms background sound (all the bleeps)I changed a bit the dips menu so the coin chute can be controlled as well.
Although I used the dips and settings from the manual. It stated that chute 1 is “hinge side”
but for me Chute 1 and 3 are switched, but I used the setup according to the manual
Attached zip file with the small code change
Hope I can get someone happy with itAttachments:

For people that wants to have the coin chutes works with coins, I modified the script a bit so you can choose from the F6 menu:
All combinations are possible, but think these are the most common
Code attached as zip file

I really don’t know how you guys do it
Well at this time you can watch exactly how he did it ;) He showed in videos step by step.
Yup. Saw the videos on the forum part, but thats too complicated for me. If a magician shows his trick, I can understand what is happening, but I cannot reproduce the trick (maybe because my wife is to big to fit in those small boxes they use. Jk).
I know alot about computers and can program a bit as well, but visuall stuff is really nothing for me.
