I’m really enjoying this game…great work.  Can someone help me with one thing?  On the drive in screen at the end of each ball, the text that displays in light blue for all the bonuses…….is there a way in the script that I can change the size of this font?   When the game displays the BALL BONUS and the TOTAL BONUS, etc. they don’t fit within the drive in movie screen.

So I took the chance and put my cabinet online so I could install the MS Framework.net 3.5 and get Woz working.  Was able to do it without a hitch and now I’ve got Woz working on my 4k cabinet.  Seems like it’s working ok, the full screen videos work and the backglass pop ups work, but I haven’t seen any quadrant videos yet, I’m guessing that I just haven’t hit the proper points in the game to trigger them…..is there a way to test these videos in the pup pack editor I wonder?

ckpin (or anyone) is there a way to get this table running using Microsoft Framework .net 4.5 and without having to activate .net 3.5?

I had this working on my 1080p cabinet, but I’ve upgraded to a better pc, graphics card and 4k playfield and this is the only table out of over 200 that won’t run due to this .net 3.5 error.

My cab is offline and I’m also hesitant to enable some old version of .net when I have everything working under .net 4.5.  Also, can’t really understand why this doesn’t work and needs .net 3.5 any way.  Does anyone have any intel on this?  Maybe I can make some changes in the script to override this??

Thanks to ckpin and all you guys who put this content out there…..it’s all awesome.

In Popper Setup, did you mess around with the settings on the Game/Wheelbar tab?  I think that may be where your issue is.  I don’t know what they should be for a straight T Bar, but the attached is from my system which is using the T Bar wheel image.

I just did a full, from scratch install of vpx and the pup system on a new pc cabinet build.  I have microsoft .net 4.5 on it.  Woz is the only table I cant get to work.  I’m getting that “needs .net 3.5 error”.  I thought  that the.net framework was backward compatible…why isnt woz working on my new system??

OK, so I had this all working, then I upgraded my pinup system from 1.4.0 to 1.4.5 (and all releases in between).  I had to go into several of my PUP Pack configs and re-do them because for some reason the upgrade messed up some of my custom settings.  However, the WoZ table is still working fine, but the only thing is now the Attract video won’t play.  I can hear the sound from it but it doesn’t show up on the backglass.

I can go into Windows explorer, click on the Attract.MP4 file and it plays….but from within the game it will not.  Any ideas?

I’m stumped.  I can run this table fine directly from VPX, but when I try to run it from Popper, it will not load.  The backglass loads, but the table does not…it just stays blank and puts my playfield monitor back to the windows desktop.

I have 200 tables on my cabinet, including about 30 PUP tables and this is the only one giving me an issue….any thoughts?

Jeez, I don’t get…problem just csm back only now losing focus on all my pup tables..updated my win 10 and the problem is back.  Force fullscreen fixes it but then mamy of my tables develoo ball stutter and take twice as long to load.

In the .exe properties tab there is a check box for “disable full screen optimization’ .  Is this the same as checking the Force full screen in vox video ootions?  Should this be checked/unchecked for Vpx.exe, pinupdisplay.exe, pinupplayer.exe, pinupmenu.exe…..?

This is making me CRAZY.  On my rig everything runs so MUCH BETTER in Windowed mode.  If I run in Forced fullscreen mode, the focus issue goes away, GREAT, but the tables take twice as long to load, I get a black screen while they are loading (which doesnt happen in windowed mode) and on many of the tables,  I get ball stutter and usually during a gameplay session, I get a vp crash….  None of this happens in windowed mode, am I the exception?  I have a pretty good rig Intel i5 processor, Nvidia GTX 1650.  Please someone help me out.

In VPX my Exit Game key is set to “Q”.

In Popper my Exit Emulator key is “Q” and my Menu/System Exit Key is  “X”20200612_171816

Also, go into VPX Video Options and make sure that the display that is highlighted is the one for your playfield, not the one for your backglass.

The Video Options has a dropdown that lists all the active displays on your system, if you mistakenly have the backglass display highlighted when you exit the Video Opions, VPX will think that’s the screen you want the playfield on.

(This happened to me and drove me crazy.)

Yeah, you know, sometimes I just can’t get out of my own way!!!  I guess it’s like, you know, guys don’t never like to ask for directions (pre GPS) or they don’t bother reading assembly instructions……..

So, I did go back and download the 1.03 pup pack, installed it and voila…it works.

Love the improvements over the last version, also getting the sounds now with the end of ball and ball bonuses, the improved fonts and modes are all great as well.  Keep up the good work.

Hey guys, I had version 1.02 running great, but when I loaded 1.03 the table plays but no pup backglass, videos or anything.

In 1.02 there was a line that needed to be updated in the script to point to where I had my pupvideos, something like Const Pupvideos=C:\PinupSystem\PupVideos.  I can’t find that in this version’s script.

There is only a line that says Dim Pupvideos:    Am I missing something??

Also is there a totally new mmunsters PupPack for this 1.03 version or just an update to the 1.02 puppack?

Thanks again for all your great work.

humankind14, would love to help you out, but not knowing anything about your rig (PC) as well as what kind of problems you’re having, it’s difficult to give you guidance.  Also, I have a 3 screen cabinet rig, not a one screen desktop rig, so my experience will be a bit different from yours.

If you are able to download and install a basic VPX/Directb2s table and get it to work on your rig, that’s a good first step.  Installing a PUP tables with PUPpacks is a bit more challenging, but they all install using the same basic steps, then the tweaking comes depending on whether you have a desktop rig, a 2 screen cab or a 3 screen cab.  Basically, the .vpx table file goes where all your other tables go and the PUP files, that is, the ‘romname’ folder with all it’s subfolders goes into the PinupSystem\PupVideos folder.  From there, it’s a metter of configuring the screens to match your rig’s setup.

Of course the one prerequisite to all of this is that you have to have the PinUp System Player setup and that is another matter entirely.  My suggestion for this would be to go to the Nailbuster site and review all the excellent tutorials there by Terry Red and others that detail this.  Additionally, there are tons of us out there on this site and others that love this hobby, have been where you are, and are willing to help. Wish you much success.

Yes, go in and edit the script.  Look for the option to hide the apron dmd and turn it off.
