Looks better than ever, very close to the original machine. I miss mine.

Oh wow. This looks like it could be a real SM variant from Stern themselves. Great!

Thanks!
And note that https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27063&p=256944 has the new VPM 3.3 beta with much improved support for these SEGA machines.

Hello, am new here and cannot believe I did not know about virtual pinball until quite recently. I am in the process of building my first cabinet now.
I grew up in the 70’s with the 1952 William’s Twenty Grand machine in my basement. No solid state, no pc boards, all tubes, like Thomas Edison type technology to me, but my father, an electrical engineer rebuilt the table and we played it often. I’m sure it kicked off my love for pinball but have always been in computers and technology too thanks to him. I’m building my virtual cabinet now (to standard Williams dimensions) and plan to Try to mimic the paint scheme or colors I grew up with.
Where is the correct place to go to request that somebody develop this table?
There are some authors out there that specialize in older machines and some that are into rebuilding more obscure machines (which i think this one actually is ;)) because they want to see them coming alive in VPX, like @Loserman76 @mfuegemann or @JPSalas . Maybe one of them can become interested if you could provide some resources to them (like good images)?

I love Mystery Castle, but there is something wrong with the VP9 and PM5 versions. I believe it was related to a VPinMAME update affecting the rom. I’ll try it again, but it seem to affect every single version I tried.
Indeed, DJRobX just did some updates to VPM that fixes solenoid issues.

Nice idea! Although nowadays Radical already looks good again, given the current 80s flashback.. :)
And people, remember to use Sorens Radical ROM MOD (radcl_l1c), the tweaked rules are much better!

One request already though: Could you please stuff the scripts, etc into a subfolder for the next update? Otherwise it’s just cluttering the table directory. Thanks!

Hi Javier,
Don’t know if these will help?
These are the ogg files directly from the table – sorted into folders.
Attachments:
I know he’ll be already using them…and sadly VPX doesn’t support OGG….so he would need to convert them to WAV either way (as do I when doing PUP SSF for pup-packs).
FP uses library files that stores sounds as well….not sure about how to extract those.
At least with the music though it’s possible to keep the OGGs..

And also tested from within VPX.. Also works.. All just with disabled ‘Skip Pinball Startup’ checkbox..

Hmmm.. She talks directly at the beginning for me.. ‘Eindringlinge, noch 45minuten bis zur Schliessung des Bereiches’ @stefanaustria

@STAT skipping pinball startup is risky, so that one can always lead to strange sideeffects, very machine dependent though. CRC error skipping will not play a role at all. I just tested this with sc_18s2, too. I only have disabled the skip pinball startup, and sound works.
Or are there only some specific sounds missing then for you?
