You can use win 7 or 10. I use 10 and it works fine. A decent processor i5 or better is recommended. A fast i3 should work ok too. A good video card is highly recommended for vpx.

If you decide to go with a prebuilt machine please be aware of what you are buying. Visual pinball and the user created tables are not supposed to be commercially distributed and if you buy a machine preloaded with visual pinball and tables then dont expect any support from anyone here. There are a number of threads discussing these prebuilt machines I encourage you to read.

It’s a shame but instant gratification is all people want nowadays. If that’s what your looking for try Pinball FX3 or the pinball arcade but even that may be out of your reach as you will have to configure them with your controller .

If you want help you need to ask nicely. Don’t just come here bitching about vp. This isn’t a complaint box.

The issues you are having are very strange. Even with outhere’s extensive knowledge you are unable to figure it out.

I dont know if this is an option for you but maybe start over with a fresh install.

Getting a separate monitor is not a bad idea either as they are cheap. You could also run your backglass on as well and maybe gets you on your way to a cab setup which is the best way to enjoy vp.

Dont know if you used this at all but it is a very useful dmd tool that may help.

STTNG and Demolition Man are the only ones I have in my alt sound folder and those are for the pup packs.

You have to hit F1 and enable the altsound in vpinmame settings.

This table is not available anymore. You would need to find a friend that has it. Probably not the best idea to make your first post here asking for a table that isn’t supposed to be shared.

The video is showing the high scores for the table. You can change the setting in edit game details for each table. I think there is a global setting too.

I find a lot of the tables need adjusting with ssf. I usually end up adjusting the volume on the dmd to make it sound more balanced with the table sounds and then use pinvol to set the overall volume so I dont have to touch the main volume on my amp.

First off make sure you have always use fullscreen backdrop settings checked in vpx video settings.

Dont mess with the z scale. It should be at 1 for majority of tables. There are a few that aren’t but either way leave it alone.

My strategy is to set inclination at 0-3 (most at 0) for EM and SS without ramps. Field of view at 15-25. Inclination 4-10 (most at 5) for tables with ramps and tall objects. Field of view 15-50. All tables layback 50-75. Set x scale to 1 and use z offset to fit screen. Then adjust y scale to fit. X and y offsets adjusted to center screen. All done in the camera mode.

When you say dark table do you mean you cant see it all or it’s barely visible? You can increase visibility with the day night slider in vpx options. You will get the factory setting message on the first run of the table but it should go away when you close and restart the table.

You only need the 1.1 which is the latest version.

If you used the all in one installer you should have the executables to play VP8 and VP9 tables. They are separate from the VPX executable.
