Tom, this is version 1.4, including the last updates, like on VPForums
Actually the files slightly differ.. So i guess this one here is the newest?

Cool to see the process how to approach something like that in detail! And thanks for doing it! :)

Yesterday as I tried to check… I’ve recognized that ACDC needs more time than AFM.
Just to get an idea of it… What’s “normal” time from “press play button” to “ready” table?
Is there a way to measure it (logfile or so)?
I measured it by cam recording calling it via cmd line:
vpx.exe -Play tables\ACDC_LUCI.vpx
10.5 (which came with installer): around 26 secs
10.6 (latest): around 43 secs
using B2S Server, DOF.
Tables are running fine then… So this isn’t really a problem.
Working with windows sometimes issues appear where there haven’t been issue before…
This longer loading time should be gone when using rev 3608 or newer.. (it has a SMAA bug for now though (which is already fixed internally))

Just here to drop a general THANK YOU for all the FSS MODs @arconovum
Amongst the best, and featuring a lot of research in them how to best exploit VPX!

VP will eventually get to a fully 3D engine. Just a matter of time.
…and prepare to rebuild all tables.
Every indication is that this is still years off. If 10.6 through 10.9 take the same amount of time as 10.1-10.5 no one will be rebuilding anything anytime soon. But when the time comes I have full 3D models of all my projects ready to go.
We’re currently entering the world of accelerated ray tracing.. So give that one a bit more time and we’ll get to a full 3D VPX that is ‘worth doing it’ (i.e. refraction and reflection and good lighting at good precision) at some point for sure..

@nailbuster I think because the table is an original(no rom emulation) it just runs better? I’m no scripting wizard and I’m sure it could be optimized even more! I bet if @fuzzel or @toxie saw all the timers they would throw up.
It always depends on what the timers are actually triggering.. If these update table elements with another state or whatever, all the time/at high frequency then it’s really bad, but otherwise it won’t really matter.. And you can always check the scripting overhead in the F11 debug menu.. (which i haven’t yet here)
Oh, and a big THANK YOU!

you got all ticked off about VPX no longer allowing locking out of tables
Just to clarify on why this was actually implemented/removed:
Locking tables within ALL VP versions was never very effective, as there was the plain text master-password for all to find in the (open) sources.

Just a suggestion but I think one of the VPM devs on VPUniverse may add customs roms. You may want to check with I think CarneyPriest over there? That way people can still keep the rock encore rom as is and still add your table to the mix.
I will add the rom as a new set/clone named ‘clash’.

Thanks for that! Always confused when i hit that machine in a real life tournament, as the ‘video mode’ is extremely confusing to play..
