Thanks HiRez…really looking forward to giving this a go….I always stop in my tracks and run to my cab when I see a new download from HiRez as your work has always been spectacular and I have become a big fan….still enjoying your animated fire on the original Christmas Pinball. Love your choice of music files too…very fitting to the era of the table. Merry Christmas sir and Thank You!!

very nice pack
Hi
I’ve had the same problem as others re 1gb download. Would you be able to point me to where the ‘regular’ download section is to grab the pack.
cheers
It’s just the main download page of this post. The pulldown on the right has 3 options — the “standard” screen pup, the rom and the 4×3 screen pup. The link has been updated. I was just able to get the whole pack again, it appears it’s been hit or miss for people. If you’re having issues I would suggest using a download manager like jdownloader. The messages I’m seeing on my side is that the “client” closed the connection. So it’s either browser based, try a different browser, or internet lag making the download become disconnected.
DirectLink

Thanks for the direct link…I was able to DL ok with this…prior to the direct link it was kicking me out at 1gig. Can’t wait to fire it up! Thanks John!

Sounds great and thanks for this!…very nice improvement over the original ROM. The problem that I noticed that I am having is that with the required version of pinmame required quite a few of my other tables will not load now and give me a “rom not found” error…..had to revert back for the time being anyway. Is their a workaround of some sort….or am I the only one having this problem.

March 23, 2020 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Total Nuclear Annihilation – Welcome to the Future Edition #168620This is probably a silly question, BUT …
I like to keep 2 versions of any table that pup packs are made for … 1). The pup version, and 2.) The original non-pup version.
Previously, the pup packs are made for rom tables, and I add the line: .PuPHide = 1 to the table script after the “.Games(cGameName).Settings.value(“sound”) = 1” line that is commonly found to the copy of the table I don’t want to run the pup pack. This has worked for every other table, thus far.
For this table , I can’t seem to find the where to put that line in the script because there isn’t a “.Games(cGameName).Settings.value(“sound”) = 1” line anywhere.
Is there a line I can put somewhere to make this work?
BTW: Great work and thank to everyone involved – this is a great pup-pack!
This may not be the solution you are looking for but line 69 of the script allows you to turn off the pinup features and only shows a static BG with the 4 scoring text zones at the bottom. Not sure if thats what you’re looking for though.

Wow! The polish to this one since the last version has been very evident! Love it. Looks and plays great.
Love all the additions to the pup pack too. I haven’t been able to figure out how to add initials for high scores. I get the “add name” on my DMD but haven’t been able to get any initials to display when I press flipper or start buttons. Am I missing something ? Thanks for sharing! This is one awesome table!

What a beautiful and fun table to play. I had no experience with the VP9 version but man I really like this a lot! Thanks so much for sharing this work with us….really love baseball themed tables and this one is the best.

I said it in the WIP thread and it deserves repeating. This is a very beautifully rendered project. There is an extreme amount of care that went into the physics, sound, modeling, and rendered lighting and it all shows.
I don’t have much experience with DW as a game but the excellence of this project made me want to spend the time to figure it out.
Thanks! Great job, @Schreibi34 and @Herweh.
I agree wholeheartedly….I had no experience with this table in VP9,but just loaded it up and gave it a spin. It is really a beautiful table….looks just awesome and plays like a dream. Thanks to all involved! What a beauty! Thanks for sharing!! I’m going to give it plenty of play.

1 user thanked author for this post.
Well I’ve made a bit of progress here….I tried this on another VPX table that I have which uses the same im_183ve rom and it works just fine on that table. I just cannot get the Pup pack to work on the other table which is JP Salas’s table ver 1.2.1
Both tables use the same rom but I get the blank BG with JP’s table. Unsure why…seems rather odd to me that it won’t work on that version yet works on the other table(I am unsure of the author of the table that it works on)
Thanks guys for chiming in with your suggestions…..I probably need to do some reading yet …..just seems odd to me that it won’t work with the other table. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
Hello and thanks for this!
I’m having a bit of a problem getting this to load and display on my BG. I’m running ver1.4 and all other Pup Packs work just fine…including your POTC Pup table which tells me that I have Pup running properly,if I’m not mistaken? I’ve renamed the table very differently so the BG doesn’t display at all. I just have a blank BG monitor when I load the table. I haven’t been able to figure out whats going on with this yet. Thanks

This is a very cool idea! I for one will be “all in” on this when it’s released….I’ve been expecting something like this to have been created with Pup and it will lend itself to Pup perfectly. Keep up the great work Gents!

March 9, 2019 at 11:00 am in reply to: The Addams Family (Bally 1992) V2 – G5K, Sliderpoint, 3rdAxis #117254Can’t believe how great the update looks on my 750ti based system. Plays totally stutter free. Fantastic work, guys!
Ben, I’m running the same graphics card as you and I cant get this table to load without this error.
Fatal Error:unable to createtexture! E_out of memory at c:\projects\vp10\renderdevice.cpp:1300
I thought it was due to my graphics card but seems you run just fine on the same card.. what else can you tell me about your system?
I’m on Win 7 32bit(which I feel is my real problem)running 10.6 rev3653 ,setting max textures to 1024 and preload in script to 0 also didnt help.
I had a problem getting Grants AFM ver 1.0 to load for me but his ver1.1 loads just fine and this ver2.1 of this table is smaller than his AFM so I had high hopes of this working.
Thanks!

March 3, 2019 at 2:21 pm in reply to: The Addams Family (Bally 1992) V2 – G5K, Sliderpoint, 3rdAxis #116293An EPIC day in VP to be sure…..I’m going to have to wait a bit longer to play this masterpiece I’m afraid. No way my Win7 32 bit OS can handle this….I get the much dreaded(and expected)VP 10.6 stopped working crash as the table try’s to load in VPX. I pretty much seen this coming and have began the move forward to a new 4K Cabinet rather than stick with my current 2k setup. This was the same problem I had with Grants AFM and lucky for me his optimizing of that table bought me some time(and the ability to play his release 1.1 of that table)
Thanks Grant and Team….can’t wait to se this in 4K……I bet it’ll make my eyes bleed. You need to login in order to like this post: click here

dmdext 1.7.1
all the other puppack work but not this one:
probleme of ROM
Did you rename the ROM in your script to match the actual ROM name included in the PuP pack download?

Beautiful work sir!
Loved all your previous Pup packs,I thought POTC was particularly awesome. I’ve just installed this pack and have barely scratched the surface of what it offers but couldn’t wait to thank you for it. Really is nice the way you incorporated the color patched ROM into it from the start. Really…this is as good as VP can possibly get….I absolutely love the music now as opposed to the ROM music. It sounds so full and immersive. Really ratchets
Up the play experience. Play it loud!
Thanks again and I’m off to explore this in greater detail. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
I’ve been playing this a lot since it’s release and I just had to come back and again say …WOW…..what a rousing game of pinball this is now. I mean when your firing on all cylinders in the middle of the game the music just takes this to a new level…..the music just soars! Play it loud!! What a mood setter….sensory overload. Thanks again!!
I just can’t imagine pinball getting better than this. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
I love this PUP pack!
Really love the new music when done this way….so crisp sounding. It really sparkles. Lots of really cool videos too….so much going on on the BG that my scores are suffering as I don’t pay enough attention to the ball. Great stuff.I’m wondering if it’s possible to somehow use the patched color rom with your custom rom? I understand the need for your custom rom to enjoy the much better quality music…..just wondering, not a big deal though.
Very nicely done sir! Thanks for sharing you work once again!

Why on earth would you run a 32 bit OS with more than 4 GB or ram?
Get 64bit windows on a machine with 8GB of ram.
Well…..mostly due to ignorance on my part…..bought a VirtuaPin cabinet and that’s what it came with….if I would of known at the time I would of run into this down the road I’d certainly opted for what you recommend. I know the update to 64 bit needs to be done but I severely lack the computer skills to tackle that upgrade on my own. I’ve already bought the key from MS to do this but haven’t tried it yet. It’s when I run into roadblocks like this I get motivated to try it. I guess as long as I have a good spare backup I can always go back to that if things go south for me on the upgrade.

It’s an older i3 but I have over 300 vpx tables loaded and everything has worked so far. The only tables that don’t work are this and gi joe. I did the research to patch the 32 bit system but haven’t heard of anyone doing it successfully and don’t want to crash what I have now. I wish I could upgrade but just spent money on dmd. Was going to try and edit like you suggested so opened vpx and tried to load motu so it wouldn’t launch and couldn’t even do that
Im in the same boat you are Tom…Im running a 32 bit Win 7 system with 8Gigs of RAM…I get the VP10.5 stopped working error as well. I blame it on the lack of addressable RAM. I had the same problem with the new AFM table until that code was optimized. I think we need more horsepower. the 32 bit OS is killing us.

October 22, 2018 at 8:20 pm in reply to: Batman the Dark Knight PuPPack (3 Screens,BG,Topper) #101462So the issue I’m having is that now when I launch the table, it is coming up with the batman (Data East 1991) B2S. I’ve removed the B2S for this table, but it is misidentifying it with the other Batman table’s B2S. I removed all the data (table name *) in the game manager’s media search field, but it is still making teh association with the 1991 table’s B2S. So what can be done? I want both tables on my cab, but the PupPack for Dark Knight requires that no B2S (or similar named B2S) be present. How do we deal with that. I don’t have this problem with Terminator 2 or 3 PupPacks.
What I do with all my Pup tables now is that I rename them like so:
As an example
VP10 Batman The Dark Knight TT&NZ 1.1
I always preface the table name with VP10 so it doesn’t try to match up a backglass and doing them all the same with the VP10 preface it helps me find the table easily enough in my Tables folder if I need to locate it. It works for me on all my Pup tables, this way doesn’t require you to remove any B2S files….and I have them all.
